I love the simplicity of those freakin' gauges. One of the biggest reason I haven't liked the modern-retro Mustangs is because of those stupid deep dish gauge wells. They aren't even angled properly so you can see your speed and RPMs.

+Manik Sharma I'll keep my S54 over any modern BMW turbo engine. Like Mike said, It doesn't replace engines like the S54, S65 and S85 which were the pinnacle of NA engine design for many years. Would it shock you to know that the M2 weighs just 50 kg less than the M4? How could Mike in his right mind compare the M2 to the E30 and the 2002 given the weight of the thing. The E30 and 2002 are light weight sports cars with busy little engines up front, if anything the Toyota GT86 is closer to these cars weighing in at 2800 lb curb weight. I don't aspire to this mainstream malarkey that BMW is trying to sell us along with the other two German makers. The driving feel is shit with EPS, I've yet to feel a system that doesn't make me lose confidence in the car. Turbo engines don't have the drama and the flare to capture my heart like a good NA engine does. The worst crime has to be the synthetic noise that they pump into the cabin of the M4, did they just give up on making it sound good? The stock airbox in my E46 M3 makes noises that synth could only dream of.

+rodney hawkins wow! 8 seconds in an 8 minute test. And Bmw accomplished the feat using 245 series 19 inch tires to make up for a crude suspension. Speaking from experience. Never missed my M3 - crude suspension and wooden steering. BMW must be spending a ton on generating hype..

+hawkinsrod sorry for the delayed response. I was busy hugging my WRX!! A couple things: a) try not to be rude as its a giveaway that you are unable to converse intelligibly. B) the correlation between BMW and VW/Audi is that they both cheat. BMW cheats by generating performance numbers using unrealistic rims and tires to hide the fact their suspension is crap. Try living with the car for a while and you will realize you've been duped. The goal for both is to cut costs while generating stats and numbers the bought and paid for trade mags can impress their gullible audiences with. The fuhrer has no clothes it seems!! Now don't get your knickers in a knot. We are only having fun here. I am not saying you need to start selling your Hitler memorabilia or anything like that..

Reviews that are 100% positive do not come across as genuine, even if it is a great car. Not that I'm a master at drifting, but it looks like Spinelli wasn't driving for the drifting shots... and at 3:13 it looks like you have terminal understeer "yeah boy!". D minus. Could do better.
