Hi all. FYI. I managed to uneventfully remove the intake manifold to replace starter in x5 E70 N52 engine. I thought it might be good idea to separate the electrical junction box from that metal bracket that is fastened under the throttle body before putting back in the intake manifold to make re-installation easier as shown in the video at time stamp 10:44. However, good luck trying that. Near impossible to separate without potentially damaging pipes or other things in the process. I took my time, gave it my best effort and gave up. I have accepted I will just leave the junction box attached to the metal bracket and will place the rear torx screw first as that is easiest to first place to enable alignment of the fwd engine hole for insertion of the last screw when I put things back together. Personally I would advise against trying to separate the box from the bracket as the aggravation and time needed is a waste.

Yes they are not hard to do but I haven’t need to do this as so present but if you see on video you can see the engine mount when I remove the manifold it sits right there if not I make video
