This, this is simply amazing. The engine is soooo smooth and the bike itself is so beautiful, I feel like this will be one of the BMW timeless designs. I must say London is the best CITY in the world. It is absolutely beautiful! I mean, look at the architecture, those green parks, even the roads seems perfectly smooth. I'm also quite sure the weather is better than most people think it is (been there for 5 days, weather was perfect). Great city. The only problem is that you have to ride/drive on the "wrong" side of the road ;) For the bike I have no words, it speaks for itself :) RJ stay strong mate! Cheers!

We seem to be on similar biking paths. I'm waiting for a S1000R to arrive in the next week but thought I'd try the R Nine T last weekend - for fun really. An hour later I'd placed a deposit and can't wait to get it - all the charisma of Helena Bonham-Carter but hopefully less maintenance.

RJ, You seems to prefer torque (Nuda,KTM) for city filtering, so the BMW fits the bill. But how do you like its mobility in congestion and tight filtering? Love the vids, big fan!!

There’s a Chinese provider that sells a 250cc bike inspired by this one (don’t know what brand sells them in Europe, but in Mexico it’s called the Rocketman from Vento). Of course, it’s not comparable with this because it’s a much cheaper bike, but it is solid, durable and respects the designs from BMW without being a blatant copy, giving it its own identity. It’s by far the most accessible modern scrambler I’ve ever seen that can hold up as a beginner’s bike or a simple commuter.

Big difference, weight, agility, etc... The R nineT is more suited to cruising, however, it does OK in the city.

My oldest son was wondering if he heard music at about 1:00 - do you listen to music or were they playing music just before you went past the bus? The sound of the R nine T is really good. Standard twin cans are Akrapovic and how they got away with the volume, legality wise, I don't know. Down change blips and opening it up hard through the midrange give a lovely BM boxer sound but louder and harder edged. But also the cans have bolt in, easy to remove decibel killer baffles. And you don't even have to reprogram the ignition for the open pipes! I really haven't dared to take them out on my bike, the standard sound is good enough. Good enough that other traffic hears you.

Hello R.J. Iv'e got a question.about the Nuda as I'm thinking of buying one used, I'm debating between that and the Ktm duke 690. How is the seat height? Fuel consumption? And is there any mechanical faults? And also I carry pillion alot have you had a pillion on the bike? Cheers.

27 months, zero faults. Never calculated consumption, I get 100 miles in town for 10-11 litres. Seat height is High.
