I have never seen a mechanic so clean and meticulous in his work. Congratulations.

Thank you for your videos. Great tech and always with a smile ;-) I had the same problem with my R1200R, but left it to a workshop - too complicated for me. But nice to see how it’s done.

I may have missed something in the assembly process. Were all the bearings renewed with now before you put it back together. I assumed the large ring bearing may have been where the problem had occurred? Was the one you re installed new? Also, I noticed you didn't apply any grease to the bearings you re installed. Is that correct? I am not a mechanic but trying to learn as much as I can on my 2011 r1200gs (like yours!).

I don't understand how your " special " bearing puller works , It looked like it should have pushed the bearing down and out the bottom but it seemed to pull it up and I can't understand how it does that as you put it in from the top.

Beyond my pay grade I'm afraid. But can only hope if my rear drive needs attention the mechanic who does the job does it as well as the Old Mechanic but we all know that won't be the case.

16 minutes in.....don't use a punch on an outer bearing race! You had the right idea with the old race. If that didn't work, use a similar sized socket.
