Hi, Caledonian biker, once again, your enthusiasm and experience of numerous bikes and riding reviews has made me more aware of the suitability and range of bikes available to someone fairly new to riding, ensuring peace of mind and knowledge, when thinking about the machine of your choice prior to buying it. Many thanks and I shall continue to view your channel and look forward to future biking reviews.

Enjoyed your review thanks very much. I am in Australia and just upgraded my GS1200 to a GSA1300 ASA triple black with all the options. Like most people I hated it when I first saw the videos, but now love it, particularly the view when riding and looking down over the massive tank. I am just running it in, and can’t see myself ever going back to having a clutch. It makes the ride a lot more relaxing at 61 years old. I have read a lot of the negatives about it, but like me get out and ride one and you will soon change your mind. Love your work!

Great comments I am also using an optimate on the 1300. Radar is a fab option on the tours and uk smart motorways as is the electric screen, I agree spokes are a massive pain to clean you did well chosing those wheels mine are the standard cast ones. After the latest software updates and a service the bike is running very well, it is a class act. Very powerful bike, struggle to use it all without getting in a lot of trouble.

I have the same bike , very honest and clear , I love mine I totally agree with you 100% torque is where it’s at on the road , and no chain!! I have just ordered the Akra titanium headers for mine there in a box in the kitchen , I will have to add the valve eliminator and a lam sensor cheater behind the resonator , I had a qd on my v4 multi and I also had to get the flasher for it to , yours sounds epic I hope the Akra sounds as good , not many videos on you tube at the moment to hear .. have a good Christmas up there

Glad you enjoyed my video and thanks for your kind words. Keep me posted on your progress and your thoughts on the bike once your system is fitted. @ thank you for the reply , more than most Chanel’s are prepared to do on you tube, I remeber a bit of conspiracy around hilltop a few years ago with weather or not the maps and tuning were legitimate. It could be a disgruntled customer? Bit there still going so there must be some weight to what they are doing.. I really appreciate you letting me know as there not to far away really only about 3 hrs from me , probably worth a ride up there , I need to ask about software updates etc and how it may effect the map , anyhow, have a great Christmas cb and one again thanks for the reply and information which could really help me out , g

Glad your pleased with your bike buddy , unfortunately after having owned the last four models of GS, I couldn’t get on with the looks of the 1300 when launched , but know that looks are subjective, I searched for the last of the 1250,s , to no avail, but opted for a 1250RS instead , to have the same engine, and absolutely love it ,

Did you have to remap after adding the new headers, assuming the Cat delete? I would like to go with a new full exhaust set up, but used to needing a remap on other bikes.
@caledonianbiker
@caledonianbiker 16 күн бұрын
@@other9293 Hi thanks for watching and commenting on the video. No re-map required plug and play and gain 10bhp together with a decent Torque boost not to mention a weight saving too. Qd Exhaust system Manufacturers are using a kid on cat to take the 3 lambda sensors on your R1300GS. As a result no power commander No heal Tec gadget and as l said No re-map. Easy fit see my shorts vids on the system only a few bolts and swap over the lambdas Please Subscribe to the Channel for more videos on the R1300GS models. Cheers C.B.

What fender extender do you have on the front Wheel? How much space is it against the engine protection plate?
@caledonianbiker
@caledonianbiker 29 күн бұрын
@@AnnaAndersson-c6i Hi thanks for watching and asking your question on the bike. I'm not one for paying over the odds prices for aftermarket bits. The front fender extender is an Ali Express purchase and was easily fitted and been on for over a year without an issue. My R1300GS BMW is the Trophy Enduro X version so it comes with a chunkier bash plate than the standard R1300GS so there's no concerns over rubbing etc. I hope your enjoying your R1300GS please feel free to leave any other questions about the bike. Thanks again C.B.

Hi thanks for watching and commenting on the bike. The cost was way short of that and my p/X was almost what l paid for my R1250GS 40th edition. So l was happy to make the purchase In my many decades of biking l always considered my R1's or Panigale bikes etc to name a few as a similiar value as a standard quality made family saloon car namely Ford or Toyota. There's NO WAY I can buy a standard car new for 20k these days. In 1994 l paid £9425 for a new Honda Fireblade just to give you an idea of the minimal price changed in bikes to cars now. Thanks for your comment and time.

Hi Andrew thanks for coming back to the Channel and commenting on the latest update with your R1300GS BMW.
