this is just the disassembly before scrapping it to show what's involved and what they look like inside. There's now a second video posted with a similar name except "Diagnosis" in the title to analyze some of the problems noted on the inside and possibilities for why it failed.

Hello i have a question can i put a ninja h2r engine in a bmw s1000rr?
@NoLimitsNoRegrets3 жыл бұрын
@@tablokozhin1973 i would be absolutely shocked if any other manufacturer's engine would fit in that frame. each bike these days is so highly engineered and attachment points in the frame have to go exactly into those points in the engine. those points can't be modified much either as there is too much going on around them. even if you could do it, it would be a bad idea as you'd be going through too many headaches and devalue what you had in the process.

thanks, just nuts and bolts, right? when i built the engine myself, that was stressful trying to get everything perfect knowing my life was riding on it, but disassembling for this video was no risk. the guy that built it after me fcked it up so bad that it was a boat anchor already, and i was just trying to learn more in the process.

the cd for the repair manual is what i bought with the bike in 2010. not sure what year yours is or how long they made the cd manuals. no idea if new ones even offer the option or if dealers just have online stuff?
@menachemhasin2 жыл бұрын
Mine is 2018 but singel R model. Anyway the hole engine look the same, the cover not opened after I realese the all screw as u did. I sow you use a rubber hammer, how hard you knocked on it? It seems like it's glued or something..
@NoLimitsNoRegrets2 жыл бұрын
@@menachemhasin that's where the subjectivity of wrenching happens. If you've made absolutely sure all the screws are loose, then all that's holding it together is the gasket sealant. Just be really, really sure all the bolts are removed. Then, yes, a rubber hammer will help get it apart. What i do is work around the engine in different places to keep disassembly even. i.e. don't just bang on one corner, work your way around to keep things even. ideally, you want to put impact upward in the direction you're trying to pull it apart, not hit it sideways if you can avoid it. this can be a challenge finding places to pound with the hammer, but keep the motion upward. do NOT try to pry it apart. the idiot that screwed mine up did that and screwed up a corner edge with the prybar. if you do that, you might have problems getting a solid seal later when you reassemble it.

The timing chain alignment datums are "VERY IMPORTANT" and must be set to the fitters manual instructions so that the ECU CPU gets the right signals . oh no, it seized at 245.0 miles. this was not the stock engine, which is really good. this was a rebuild by a shop that has no business touching wrenches based on how awful my bike was abused. hadn't heard about the rod/bearing issue? agree though, in general these are a great engine especially considering how much power is pushing out of 1.0 liters.
