Fantastic Narrative and explanation on both bikes. Its also good to see someone that works on both bikes and in fact part of the reason at this moment im leaning toward the BMW is Data on manuals and details to work on them. I wouldnt own either bike if i was going to have a dealer touch them. I do understand they both offer very different characteristics. The reason im gong to ask this question is Age im 62 and being cramped is part of a side effect of a sport bike. Believe or not i was thinking of even getting a Kawasaki ZX9r. Its surprising as old as the bike is how modern rake trail and wheel base is. but its heavy and underpowered. ive come to conclusion its gong to be the BMW S1000RR depending on comfort naturally the rest of the reasons are obvious being power and performance. Do you find the BMW comfortable for a good day of riding type bike. thank you for an amazing video your feedback would be very much appreciated. im 6.1 if that can make a deciding difference.

Appreciate the feedback and awesome to know it was helpful to you. the only reference i have to the seat is that the 2010 stock seat on the bike was pretty good, good enough to ride to Colorado from TX, several days in the mountains, and back again, as well as ride coast to coast straight when i broke the record on it, and i have a horrible tailbone issue from too many miles on choppers over the years. I've since put the lighter racier hp seat on it which yes, i can ride 80 miles to austin, track day all day, and it's getting sore by the time i ride 80 miles back home after all that. the stock seat is much more comfortable, but I will say that my '19 aprilia seat is the most comfortable bike seat i've ever experienced. you'd best find someone with a newer bmw in the years you're considering to see how the seat is on those bikes, but there may also be aftermarket ones more comfy as well. i'm 6'1" and 48 yrs old for reference.

Both such amazing machines. The Aprilia for its unique engine sound and and rarity. Always 3 or 4 s1000rr at every meet. It's an occasion when someone brings the Aprilia out.

yes, aprilias are a bit more rare. i do see a few more around here than i did in FL simply because AF1 racing is just up the road. but yeah, love both of them!

i had 2016 s1000rr and loved that bike .. its a perfect bike .. but now i just bought aprilia rsv4 1000 factory because that engine 😅 lets see what aprilia can do ..

Aprilia all day. The V4 sound+power delivery is addictive.. BMW is a nice bike, rides well, but it just lacks character.

to me, i think the i4 in the bmw has a bit more buzz in upper rpms. it could be subjective though. the ape's v4 feels more thundery, so maybe it's just more of a pleasant feel or the sound is affecting the feel?
