Counting solely on an electronic system for oil level is the dumbest thing manufacturers ever did . It should alway include a manual way to check level and condition. And it’s practically pennies to include a dip stick

Great video all I would say to help others if wondering the line from minimum to maximum is one quart so If the line is in the middle you need to add half a quart if the line is at the bottom you need to add a whole quart.

Hey the oil you link in the description is bmw SAE 5w-30 but mines on my Manuel says that castrol oil whats recommend me to use but do you know from that brand is the best one? It also say to use type”BMW high performance SAE 5w-30. My car is F30 bmw 328i sedan 2012. TwinPower turbo engine. Gasoline engine.

If you have no leak there is no issue. Just flush at regular times. Many other cars eliminated the trans stick too years ago.

Before you give up on the dipstick have a look at the rear right of the cylinder head under the plastic engine cover and you may find the dipstick. This is where it is on my 320d and my new X3 2.0d

that's a diesel, only the diesels have dipsticks, N20 gas motors don't have dipsticks.

Oil is for lubrication, not consumption like gasoline. High performance models consume a little oil but excessive consumption means there is a problem.
