How comfortable are the M sport seats for a 5' 11" 225 lbs. guy? Are the side bolsters too snug/tight? Are they comfy for long trips? thanks for the great review.

The side bolsters are adjustable, and they are not too snug. I am 6'1" 230. I find them comfy for long trips. I tend to adjust the lumbar support relatively frequently when I'm driving long distances.

Is the horsepower in the M Sport the same as the standard X3?

@@DenverBMW I drive an X3 with the M Sport package. When the car is in sport mode it basically makes the car feel faster than it actually is. It’s almost like a “fake X3 M”

that is code 2VL- variable sport steering. It's a variable pitch (or ratio) steering gear instead of a constant pitch/ratio. It is mechanical, unlike active steering which has electric ratio control. On center it has teeth cut at one pitch to give direct response and as you turn the wheel significantly off center you get into another pitch to give you more movement of the vehicle than the steering wheel. Turns lock to lock is reduced significantly to about 2. Result is lighter more comfortable steering at slow speeds without compromising steering feel on center.
