For those that like interiors with haptic feedback, clicks and knobs …..rather than a huge screen you have to scroll and touch, smudges all the time and takes eyes off the road, the bmw is a great option. Functional elegance.

absolutely! I`ll get my new G01 in less than two weeks, just managed to grab this one before the G45 was released. I can`t stand/deal with a car with a huge touch screen only. I love knobs, buttons, clicks etc. I want all the key functions being available at any time, especially when driving, be it the favourite radio station (programmable buttons!), most important addresses, air condition, light modes. I`m currently driving an X1 F48 (2021) and rarely use the touch screen, though it`s available too, maybe just for apple car play sometimes. Predominantly use the buttons and iDrive. I think BMW, like many other car manufacturers, will massively fall on their face with this Tesla style, and, some other manufacturers will see it and seize the opportunity to produce "old fashioned" cars which are not just smartphones on 4 wheels. None in my age (35-45) is considering buying/leasing a car with a huge screen, they`ll drive their cars until they fall apart, so will I do with my new G01!

The cockpit needs a general change. The design of the centre console with the display screen, the cramped and complicated temperature control knobs and the air vents looks a bit rushed. There should also be a round speed dial on the driver's display. The single slot-opening hatch on the centre console is not very useful, it was the same on previous models. It should have 2 doors opening to both sides. The back plastic coverings of the front seats look rough. In other words, there is still no balanced and stylish design inside.
