Cool thanks man I've got two kids and just recently got back into riding. I bought a new bike and after riding for a bit and my chain stretched out I pulled my back tire to tighten the chain but could not get it centered to where I satisfied (perfectly center) I was about to take it into the shop and have them do it for me but his video saved me a trip. Thank you and keep up the straight to the point informative videos 👌

When i do back wheel & chain, i use two square pieces of cardboard (some taped together if needed) to fill in the space between the chainstay and tire on each side. Keeps tention and a square wheel alignment while tightening bolts.

Hey Alfredo, how do I tighten the washer behind the nut with the screwdriver??

If you place the flat head behind the nut you’ll feel that it has a little ridge, turn that ever so gently, it might almost feel unnoticeable, then tighten up the outer nut and you’ll feel the pedals tighten up

I was told a tight chain was bad for your bike (freehub/cassette bearings IIRC), better to set up some sort of crank-stopper surely? I run a washer shaped piece of tyre sidewall between my non-drive side crank and BB, I've heard a ,more extreme option is to drill and tap a hole through the BB shell and put a screw in to rub against the axle. I don't think I'd go that route though! Edit: The simplest, most universal way is to take your non-drive side pedal off, cut up some inner tube calamari (aka "ranger bands") about 1" thick and stretch a few layers over your crank to overlap the BB, add/remove layers depending on how much resistance you want. They do wear out quickly though so need replacing...

Hey Alfredo quick question I have a 1980 Hutch Pro racer but I can't Center my tire on the lower chain stay because it just won't quite line up with the upper chain stay for my brakes so I don't know what kind of crack those guys were smoking when they were building those frames but they all seem like they're off a little bit has this been your experience as well I assume that the '90s frames were probably a little more centered excetera but I can tell you one thing all them horror frames acted like they were all smoking some real good s*** too cuz nothing's aligned right

Oh...he's talking about when the bike is flipped upside down...Then the Right Side, which is the Left Side when you're riding the bike...unless you ride the bike upsidedown...is Reverse Thread and the Left Side which is the Right Side when you're riding the bike is Right Thread...For the pedals and Crank Nuts if you have one piece cranks

Hey guys. Would anyone know why my tire has an up and down movement while riding? It got messed up either by tightening spokes or when my chain got moved around last week. Hello, I am 12 and I am currently in the BMX game. I have a 36 sprocket but I want to put a 48t sprocket. I don't really do any stunts, just ride with my friends. Now my sprocket rubs on my frame and I do not want to go smaller(btw I have a 1 piece crank) Is there anything I can do? Like put a washer for the sprocket side to come out a bit like at least 1/4"?
