The 86 series mufflers are under the hood. Not a poor man straight pipe. You can delete them if you want, but next time put the camera under the hood on the brake pedal side. Side note, I bought a 986 years ago, spun a rod bearing. 15 grand later turned it into a 1586 puller, WHAT A FUN RIDE NOW!!!

Went to a farm sale last Sat. A nice 1086 2900 hrs good shape brought 20,000 even needed rear tires I bided the stamped wieghts to 120 and they brought 125 N.W. Mo.

Lots of really nice stuff ! I hope you're able to come home with that tractor . I liked that 2 row planter . I'm going to run my tiller this year with my M even if it goes too fast in first gear. From what I read you just have to go over it more . I'm going to use it to make some 4 ft wide rows to plant some pumpkins on . My thought was to leave 12 or 15 feet between the rows to mow and bag and then use that grass to mulch the pumpkin rows . Thanks for sharing and have a great evening !

IH 986: drawbar 90hp; PTO 100+ $15,500 IH Hydro 186: drawbar 79; PTO 105 $12,000 100 horsepower tractors with no issues….. I might go as high as $20,000. But that’s me. There are no brand new 100 horsepower tractors for less than $50k. I can already see you driving the 986.

What did the dealer decal say on the 986? Like you said, I would love to hear the story a tractor could tell! I looked at a 1066 for sale near me that had the original dealer decal from Forest Grove Implements just 10 miles away. Very cool- would have loved to buy that one! Thanks for the video

Excellent video Gino :) also when home farm years ask my late Dad & Late Uncle why never have cab on 1963 McCormick International B414 Loader tractor Desiel motor, 1968 International 624 A Desiel motor one made car cap on top , 1950 Cockshutt COOP 40 gas , because 1968 McCormick International 105C combine gas motor had one ! But when bought 1978 International 724 B loader Desiel motor never cap ! But both dad and uncle said wish did one each after combine drive want but never did put them ! I know like cabs too ! Also seat talking about Gino not sure one was orgnail owner got one on the one bought used 1978 International 724 B loader Desiel fuel but like car one single bucket was most comfortable one ever sit ! I know ones put 1950 Cockshutt COOP 40 , 1963 McCormick International B414 Loader tractor Desiel, 1968 International 624 A had International seats put in 1994 like lawn tractor type my dad bought for them not bad but had small back rest ! 986 say go for $ 9,000 and Farmall H may get $3500.00 to $5000.00 on my guess !

Lot of really good equipment there 👍 the 2000 3000 an 4000 tractors had a bombproof 3 cylinder engine in them an a good 8 speed gearbox with 7th an 8th being your road gears 💪 do like that 986 never been a fan of hydro's unless was on a loader 🤔 Red Power there gotta get 10/10 for me 💥 superb review 👌

Please don’t think I’m being mean, but that newer style 2000 isn’t 50hp. Those are 39 but the older is 48. I have both styles. A little fun fact tho even with the difference in hp they both still only put out 31 on the pto

My Dad got a John Deere 2020 diesel he paid $500 bucks he just had to rebuilt the engine which cost another $500 bucks but for a $1000 he got a good tractor and in today's world can't even get a small tractor for a 1000 bucks

The 986 is a nice tractor. Well taken care of. That one would be a good one for you. Do you try to make your videos for kids? How much chisel plow will a 986 handle? That's a tough one, as you must use them different. I know you must really sock them in down there, especially the disc chisels. Here, we call them " deep tillage cultivators." In our hard clay, we handle 14 shanks with an 806, but that's probably because we don't go in as deep. I pulled an 11 shank lots with a WD-9. My dad farmed in sandy soil originally and pulled 25 with a 1066. But when he moved here, he had to buy a 4366 to pull it.

The 186 is the size of the 806, 186 has 94 horsepower, the 986 has about 100 horsepower, and the 986 is the size of the 966, and I do know a lot about international tractor's
