Don’t really care for a interior room but the Havana room might be a game changer
@wanderlustmelissabrian9 ай бұрын
I would absolutely NOT stay in an interior with more than 2 people. Our daughter and her 2 friends had an interior on 5 and by the end of the cruise, they were happy to get out of that room! We've done interior on the last 2 cruises to save a little money and to see how we felt about them. The shape of the room on this Havana absolutely made a difference. I won't say never but more than likely our next couple of cruises will not be interior. :) -Melissa

Hey! We just realized y’all are from MS! We have been watching your vlogs and enjoying them. We are from South MS originally but moved to FL to be closer to cruising! Happy travels!

Hi!! Thanks for watching and commenting! We are in central MS just north of Jackson. That is awesome! Funny you mentioned that bc we have discussed several times moving to Florida for the same reason! -Melissa

I have to say that Carnival does have the best sail away parties. Looking forward to going on the jubliee on day and turn platinum.

They really do! It's a great way to start your cruise and a reminder that "vacation mode is enabled" :) Enjoy your cruise and thanks for the comment! -B

Great content ... Did you find that there was enough room in the Havana area during sea days ... Or was it very congested?
@wanderlustmelissabrian6 ай бұрын
Sorry we missed your comment! It was never really congested any time we went out there. It was January though and chilly so that probably made a difference. The pool was freezing. -Melissa

Thanks for the video. We will have a Havana interior on our on the Jubilee in July. It will be our first time in a Havana cabin. How was the noise level from the bar in your cabin?
@wanderlustmelissabrian9 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! You’re going to love it! We were concerned about the noise from the Havana Bar nearby, but the door blocks out almost all of the sound - we had no trouble with the bar sounds. There was, however, a service door near our room that slammed quite often, but that also stopped after midnight or so. -B

Great content! Did you find there was enough room on sea days in the Havana outside area (lay out & pool) or was it congested?
@wanderlustmelissabrian8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! We had no trouble with the Havana outside areas at all! There was plenty of room and the bar and pool felt very exclusive. It was a bit cool outside on our cruise though -B

They need to revamp the outside havana area. It is very disappointing when u compare it to the vista class ships. There is more staterooms but a very tiny outside area. No hot tubs. I actually had trouble getting a lounger which really annoyed me. I pay more for a havana room but felt like its a waste of money on a non vista class ship.

Thanks for watching and commenting. This was our first stay in the Havana area but we have sailed vista and Horizon. You are right , I’m not sure why they redesigned the outside space. I’m happy we didn’t spend the money on one of the balcony/cabana havanas! We spoke with several other guests that did have the cabanas along the back of the ship who had similar thoughts. ~Melissa

I’ve always wanted to stay in a Havana suite with the balcony. But I saw on another video that there is an issue with privacy.
@wanderlustmelissabrian9 ай бұрын
We did the interior and loved it. But yes, I would agree the Havana balcony’s are really cool but there is a privacy issue with people walking by. I will say only people that are also in the Havana area can get in that area, it is restricted. So it’s not open to all guests. Hope that helps! We would book Havana again and probably try a balcony next time just to see what we think. Thanks for watching and commenting! -Melissa

Wait...hold the phone...did you scan your key card to get to the pool area? If so, YES, finally. We had so many people just walking in to the pool area and taking up chairs till a crew member finally walked around asking for their wristband. So that is great. Was the pool in the shade all the time? Someone complained that the pool was cold and in the shade all the time so they didn't use the pool at all.

The Havana area is exclusive to those in Havana rooms. To get into the outdoor Havana area, you have to not only have a wristband, but the card-reader checks to see that you're in a Havana stateroom. We liked having a less-crowded outdoor area, bar and pool. It would have been nice if the area also had a hot tub like the Vista class does, but it was still a fun experience. The Havana pool kind of hangs off of the starboard side of the ship. So, depending of the direction the ship is headed and the time of day, the pool will be in the shade. On our sailing, I can confirm the pool was COLD. We really enjoyed the view from the pool though due to its position. Thanks for your comment :) -B

I wonder if the room on the other decks square shaped have more room? What are those located against, back of stairs etc?
@wanderlustmelissabrian8 ай бұрын
I feel like the square footage (see what I did there? ha!) is about the same in the square-shaped rooms vs regular rooms. It looks like most of them are shaped that way to accommodate the change in width of the ship itself at that point. There are some (deck 15 for example), that back up to the elevators - those seem like they'd be noisy. -B
