Add more lines pray for the best. Some boats will get hauled out if yards have space. Really if a hurricane is coming lots of people move their boats!

@@WillFixThat , with so many absentee owners , marinas here want boats out. No where to go. Mud silted in will not hold an anchor in our area. Sailboats are the most difficult due to draft. High tides will routinely destroy most piers taking pilings and all. Even big stuff. Planking cannot take wave slap. I have seen high water marks from past storms in your area. Not good.

I’ll have to check at my office on Monday! This is a bigger bottom than most think it takes 10-11 gallons of paint that are each about $400.

Just completed the haul out on my Nordhavn 64. New zincs, keel coolers, prop / shaft tuning, bottom paint, hydraulics for the davit, etc. Nothing 50 grand couldn't fix, LOL.

I change my cutlass bearings every 3 - 4 years, we do some running, yes those shafts and props are heavy! I switched from the metallic casing cutlass bearings to the fiberglass bearings, they are so much easier to remove and last just as long.

I’d bet about 80-100lbs more than anything they are just awkward. Takes 3 people I helped with the first one when I saw Matt & TJ struggling! I set down the camera real fast.

the rule of thumb on these monsters is you'll spend at lest 10% of the cost of the boat in maintaining her as a minimum every year.

Just depends on how well the boat is kept up … we definitely recommend a full time Captain to keep up with the non mechanic type work!

@@Cheers_Warren what I meant was your never supposed to put shaft or rudder zincs on a viking. Everything is bonded to the zinc block on the transom.. I own a viking and was told this by Viking service

restorer wax is not a great product, especially for hull buffing. It’s a shortcut, not good enough for the florida sun. But otherwise I’m really impressed with your work!!

this guy got ripped off -- I have the exact same boat -- I take it on the trailer to coin car wash and use the hot wax setting -- takes 10 minutes and $3 later its good as new
