Looking for one of them bench seats for a j16. Any idea where I could find one?

Call all Carolina Skiff dealer in your area and ask if they have any seats left for the J16.

Or just make one out of plywood, and cover it with fiberglass mat and epoxy, then a coat of gelcoat.

Whatever you do, do NOT put any holes on the floor of your Carolina Skiff, because with time that's how water gets into the hull and into the foam inside the hull. If you want to secure anything permanently to the floor of your Carolina Skiff, just epoxy it to the structure, don't use screws, because water will eventually get inside through those holes, no matter how well sealed you think they are.
