According to Honda techs, the brand’s new V8 350-hp 5.0 L engine (which was developed specifically as an outboard) gets up to 12% better fuel economy compared to the other two 350s on the market. That’s a remarkable savings, and our video explains some of the major reasons why Honda's 350 is able to get such good fuel economy. This is an awesome motor for sure. The price is amazing as well. $45,000. However, with incredible Honda reliability and legendary quality and resale value I think it will be a winner. All outboard motors are very expensive these days.

I love Honda products. They may not be the biggest, fanciest or the most powerful but they were well made, do the job and are reliable. While my pals were fixing their constantly troublesome Trimuphs and BSAs I was riding. My 4 - read that 4 - Honda cautomobiles were in the repair shop fewer times than the one Ford Escape I owned and even less than the SLK. Even though I must admit they are the most boring cars to drive I have ever owned. But for grocery getters and family vehicles I highly recommend them. Honda Marine seemed to have a back seat now let us see what is on the horizon. This looks like a good start.

Honda is a wiz at small engines what has taken them so long to get into larger engines? I have owned Honda cars and all of them have been almost 100% trouble free. I bet this thing will not break.

Does it put out similar power to the merc v10 400hp? 350 at the prop is similar to 400 at the flywheel like in the v10 merc 400…
