From a 77-year-old Dylan fan (who just saw "A Complete Unknown"): I saw Bob solo, acoustic, two times in 1965 in L.A. -- Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and Royce Hall, UCLA. Both times, the show began with him strollimg onstage strummeing his guitar in G, walking up to the mic and singing that song. Perfect opening and a perfect message for those days, since the times were certainly a-changing. I can still see him saying, "This next song is called Love minos Zero, slash, over No Limit." I looked at my friend and said, "whatever you say, Bob" and then heard the most amazing love song ever! BTW, after the Santa Monica show, we went to a little local club called The New Balladeer, where the opening act was an oboxious guy with a 12-string named David Crosby. Told us he was joining a band called the Byrds. "Watch for us," he said. They did OK with some Dylan songs. He later teamed up with Stills, Nash and Young, you may recall. So nice to be there for history...

How is the movie ?🎉

Glad you asked. It's wonderful. Really captured the world of Greenwich Village. All the main characters played their own instruments and sang live, which added authenticity. Sure, there were lots of "inaccuracies," bu this was not a documentary. Dylan himself participated in a table reading and gave the script his approval. Chalomet was terrific. The scene with him and Baez singing "Don't Think Twice" was note-perfect for each of them. Changing the character of Suze Rotolo to Sylvie worked fine for me. Go see the film!!@@anne-catherinelochard1008

@@anne-catherinelochard1008 As a 74 year old Dylan fan who lived the 1960's, I was a bit skeptical about this young Timothee Chalamet capturing my life-long hero with any depth and realism, but I was stunned and amazed at the performance. Chalamet nailed it. Every song and expression were on point. I felt like I was that 15-16 yr old for a few hours after coming out of the theater.

It IS a great performance--not only "for an 83-year-old" but for anyone, of any age. Dylan is in absolute command of his voice, frequently bopping to the upper octave to express phrases that he finds particularly moving at the moment. And when his voice jumps up, it always lands exactly on the right note/s. Some nice guitar work from him, too. It's rare that a genius songwriter is also a master performer--and (incidentally) impressive that he's going so strong in his ninth decade. Rock on, Bob!
