I spent some time in and around town of Yreka, in far northern California. It's true, I've never seen so many stars anywhere else like they appear in that area. It's real rugged territory, but it's gorgeous, and this song is just so appropriate.

Yeah you should hear his stuff live now. He was always great but he cut back on smoking and bikes everyday now. His voice is just amazing. I can't understand still how a guy who is 70 and takes years in between new music can still write these great songs. This was a cover but the album is great.

I like the whining fiddle sound just gets me in the right place , this song creates an atmosphere that only special songs can do ,there is only a few songs that can do that , some of the old movies do the same thing , they create an atmosphere and if you are in sales learn from that.

Seger's concert in Buffalo last night was amazing. The band was perfect and Seger's voice has only gotten better with age. Because a handful of his songs are overplayed ad nauseum on the radio, I didn't have high expectations. I was wrong!
