I'm 36 years old, and here I am blasting this song. It's hard to put into words but i'll try. Growing up my parents were always listening to this, always going out on rides and long trips on the Harley since the day I was born. It was always nice to see them dancing in the living room, or just hanging out having some drinks listening to Bob Seger. Dad was a Vietnam veteran, 68'-69', he was a Marine, a grunt. March 13th, 2016 he was out on a road trip with friends, on a ride to Mexico. 2.5 years later, we miss dearly, it hurts. We will never know what happened, there was an accident and my dad is gone. Somehow they were split up and he was alone on those dangerous roads country roads in Mexico. My only guess is that someone came into his lane and his only choice was to veer off down into an area filled with boulders. I haven't ever really spoke of this, but this song and moment brought me here. I always just remind myself that he died doing what he absolutely loved most, being free and riding. Ride safe, be safe, watch for motorcycles. Semper Fi.

No flash. Just a songwriter that knows how to perform. After all, who needs dancers and big screens or pyrotechnics when you're real? So many artists out there these days wouldn't know an honest lyric if it hit them smack dab in the middle of their face. Half of them can't even play instruments. Who remembers Bob Segar when way back when he was with Bob Segar and the Last Herd and did Heavy Music, 2 plus 2, Persercution Smith and so on and would play at places like The Hideout, Grande Ballroom, Crows Nest. My 1st and only introduction to actually meeting Mr. Segar himself, I was walking in the Crows Nest and he invited me into his Van, there was another guy there and was asked if I would care to smoke a joint with them. I did not even like Pot but what the hell? These places where bands like Segar, Alice Cooper, SRC (disliked), was for under 21, Ted Nugent (Can't. still can't stand) just pop but had a black room, dance floor, tables, it was a really cool place. I'm 68 now but still think it was cool. My claim to Fame sitting in a van w/Bob Segar and smoking a joint. I will remember that as along as I can. Mr. Segar, not a chance. Thanks if you took your time out and read this.

Yes, Hospice care is a wonderful thing, to help ease the pain of passing. I watched my dear Sister in law suffer terribly, in her last moments with COPD. Sooo very glad the decision was made to use Hospice care, to let her slip on to the other side peacefully. Thank you for your part, in helping those who need it. ❤

I was finally able to see Bob Seger in concert a few years ago. It was one of the very best concerts I've ever witnessed and this was from the 4th level and near the back row. This man has more energy and more Rock-N-Roll soul than a dozen of his contemporaries rolled into one. I felt like I was in the front row and felt that he was performing just for me. Amazing concert and a cherished memory for sure.

The poet laureate of the Baby Boomer generation. Maybe the best songwriter of our time-chronicling things every single one of us has experienced-this song-get out and go anywhere but here. Her strut-the foxy girl (maybe you) that takes nothing from anyone. Rock and Roll Never Forgets-will live on way past Britney Spears and Fla-Ga County Line. Beautiful Loser-any one of us. Against the Wind--again-any of us. Doesn't get any better than this-Thank GOD I have lived during when this music was new and even more amazing.
