Awesome! I started a baby blanket 32 years ago with this stich, moved, lost the book, never finished it. Now I can!!! For the life of me I didn't know what the stitch was since I was just 23 and had just learned to read patterns. Now I can finish it to have ready for my first grandbaby. THANK YOU!!!

Just discovered your channel. LOVE the bobble stitch tutorial. It was very easy to follow. I tried to use another tutorial and was confused had to rip everything several times. Your instructions are very clear; made four bobble rows already. I'm making a scarf as a gift for a needy person in my local community. I'm looking forward to viewing your other tutorials. Thank you.

I was looking for another video turtorial on how to make the bobble stitch and came across channel. Your video turtorial is so easy to understand and the angle of your camera is great. You can see so clearly your stitches. I was about to give up on this bobble stitch but I new I could do the pattern, because the stitches are so easy to do. The other turtorial I was watching was just a little confusing. So glad I found your channel and I absolutely subscribe to your channel. Can't wait yo finish the bobble stitch pattern so I can start another one of your turtorial. Many thanks for sharing.

@bhookedcrochet9 жыл бұрын
Hi Jody! I would recommend trying 6 or 7 dc instead of 5. This will make the bobble stick out further. If you need them to be much bigger, I would recommend using a thicker yarn.

Hi there I love your videos!! This is giving me an idea to make a pillow but I'm wondering how many chains should I make??
@bhookedcrochet9 жыл бұрын
Hi Natalie! The bobble stitch would make a great pillow, you're definitely on to something there! The number of chains will depend on the size pillow you're making. I would recommend making a chain and comparing it to the pillow or form you'll be covering. Once you have your chain the right length, go back and count the chains and make sure the final number of chains is an odd number. You can always add one chain to the end if needed to make it an odd number without changing the size too much.
@natalielinton16249 жыл бұрын
great....keep up the great work!!
@kiahgeleynse32848 жыл бұрын
To get the bobbles to sit in between each other you start with an odd number. So I'd chain an even number and add one correct? So chain 12 and add 1?

Do you do the 5 double crochet's in the same hole that you did the single crochet in to finish up the bobble?

can you use a chainless foundation stitches for this if so do you still add 1 in the chain?
@bhookedcrochet9 жыл бұрын
you sure can! Yes, you would still need to add that extra little chain when making your foundation stitches so that your foundation stays straight. You could use any of the three foundation stitches to start off. I just typically use the Sc because it's a short stitch and you can't really see the foundation row.

Hi! what's the difference between the bobble and the popcorn stitch
@bhookedcrochet9 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. There is a slightly different technique for each of the two causing the shape to be slightly different. The popcorn stitch is thicker on the top of the stitch and flatter at the bottom, kind of like a wedge. The bobble stitch is a more round and uniform "bubble".
