I just recently taught myself to crochet something more than just chains (which I learned as a little kid). Every time I tried to read patterns, or watch other people's videos, I felt stupid because I couldn't understand what they meant. But yours make sense. I've just finished a 5.5 foot scarf in the Wheatsheaf/Mini Arcade stitch as my VERY FIRST project thanks to your video on it and I'm here looking at this stitch to learn something new for a shawl for myself!
@HookedbyRobin2 жыл бұрын
You definitely aren’t stupid Erin, I think people can definitely over complicate teaching crochet and anything creative really. I am just so glad my videos have helped you! A shawl in this would be wonderful.😃🥰

Just wanted to say thank you! I was working on a slipper-boot pattern, and about halfway up the leg they wanted a butterfly/eyelash wool for four rows to add texture. I didn’t have any so looked for a bauble stitch pattern. This worked perfectly!!! I only did one row of baubles with the double crochet row above and below and it looks utterly adorable!!! Wish I could upload you a photo here! Thank you!!!! 💕

Hello Robin, Thanks again for the inspiration! I've learned to crochet true KZbin. I can't read a pattern no matter what. But crochet along with you (and others in KZbin) works for me! Not everyone tells about the chain to begin with! You do and thank you for that 👍🙏 I've made loads of (mostly baby) blankets the last few years. And this one will be my next project. Only think i would like to learn is how to make a nice border. The bottom and top are easy... But the sides are not. And i don't like a border started from singles. Perhaps that's nice for a next tutorial 😅 Love from the Netherlands 🙋

Hi my lovely Robin, thank you for your precise tutorials, and I need your help! For the life of me, and it's been a long one thankfully, I can't do the herringbone stitch neatly!! I've watched MANY tutorials, some different methods, BUT my brain just isn't/hands just aren't computing that knowledge into a neat overall look, so frustrating! I was wondering if you could do a video detailing precisely the process, and save me ripping/ribeting the last of my old lady hair out!! Many thanks!! Monica.
