This was a necessary conversation. Thank you. The smaller homemade sock roll might help because I am used to using my forearm to fill the gap between the neck and pillow.
@lindapelle87382 жыл бұрын
I used to do the same thing with my forearm, it caused lots of problems I would wake up in pain sometimes my arm would completely be asleep and feel like it had no blood flow whatsoever. I ended up using these techniques just buy my own trial and error and they really do work that’s why I like to have some mushy pillows that I can mold. Good luck

the pillow you said your wife and daughter like is available at IKEA. I got one, and it's great. The slightly lower side is for back sleeping, and the slightly higher side is for side sleeping. A great value and a great video! Thanks for the info.

A nice thing as well with the cervical pillow and rolled up towels is that they can help reduce tension headaches. If you feel a headache starting near the base of your skull/neck area and are apprehensive of using medication try this. You want the support to be firm in order to provide the stimulus to the muscle group initially, shortly afterwards the firm support helps the cervical ES become much less active and starts to calm down. For anyone that also suffers from anxiety I would often recommend to cool/heat the pillow before use.

My daughter has trouble sleeping. She likes a lot of small pillows around her. I’ll show her pics of the c pillow. You don’t talk about down pillows. I love mine! It’s a good quality one. I can mold it whatever shape I need so I don’t need a neck roll, unless I want the warmth. I sleep on my side, too. Thanks for all your advice. I’ve learned a lot.

I spent almost $400 One Christmas on Tempur memory foam pillows for my family. But they didn’t appreciate them as I’d have liked. So it’s a great help seeing the thickness of pillow that you recommend, even though it was by demonstration not by word. Thanks boys!

The pillow I've been using for many years now is a C-shaped travel pillow turned the wrong way round, so that the long curve of the C fits under my neck (with the shorter curled ends turned away from my neck -- they sort of cradle my head). I also prefer to use stretchy T-shirt material as a pillow cover -- for some reason it doesn't pull on my hair so much, there's less friction, it's just much more comfortable than ordinary non-elastic cotton. I don't like sleeping on my face, and using this pillow helps me to get my head in a comfortable position and then stay in that position, whether I'm lying on my back or on my side. When it comes to lying on my side it's definitely more comfortable to have some kind of cushion pressing firmly against my back -- what works best for me is my winter flannel dressing-gown neatly folded into a bundle. I can press it into position in just the right way. It doesn't slip away as easily as a bouncy pillow. I suppose you just have to find something that has the right texture and consistency.

Two nights now with the proper pillow and neck support has taken away my neck and shoulder pain I have been waking up with for months now! WOW! Also, my sinuses are clearer too and I feel more rested. Both back and side sleeping... AND sleeping towards my back when I'm on my side to open up my rib cage and get more oxygen is also preventing my arm(s) from falling asleep! Thanks for the demonstrations.

For acid reflux/night heartburn, I have learned to sleep sitting up in bed - the zero G sleeping position, I think - with a whole silk comforter wrapped around my neck for support and elevated my legs. I don't think you guys have covered this strategy, and I think it would benefit lots of people with this problem who don't have one of those adjustable beds.
@strongislandgal2 жыл бұрын
I have recurring GERD too. We raised the head of my bed only four inches and it has helped quite a bit. My brother-in-law built an inclined plane under the box spring. (Eight inches was a joke....he did it over. ) Over a period of two months with medication at night, my reflux-caused gastritis healed up. I then stopped medication and TRY to follow the dietary guidelines, and my recent endoscopy was good. I think the bed raising has made a big difference. I still take an occasional pill and antacid, and would add a special wedge pillow if it acted up or add additional height under the bed legs. A bed frame can be easily be propped up under the back legs with pavers to equal four or so inches without causing much of a structural issue for the bed frame itself. That's the easiest way to try. I slept sitting up with a shoulder issue, and it was nice to get in bed again. Just a thought, as I dismissed the bed-raising idea at first, but it is better for my back than propping my top half up was. Gravity rules!

What REALLY helps? Dont be poor 😂 Living in official poverty over here (thanks to repeated SSDI denials going on 6 years now)…i live in bed 16-24 hours a day so my bed has a permanent, deep sag where i sleep. Replacing the mattress would improve everything a million percent. But besides that, i am a side sleeper/lay-er? and the tips here are fantastic! You just made the cube pillow for 1/10000th the price!and the moat method is genius! One tip from me, especially for women with larger hips, if you sleep on your side like me, i always bunch up the blankets or put a firm pillow between my knees which helps to keep the pressure off my back and hips

Its time to get right with Jesus. nobody is automatically gonna go to heaven at the end of it, we all have lied or stolen or had sex before marriage and the punishment is hell. Jesus died so you can get a clean slate and forgiveness of future sins if you repent of them if you commit them, so you receive the gift of forgiveness by following him. When you start you have to stop sinning willfully, and follow his word and obey it, strive to do those things. That’s following the Lord Jesus. Read the Bible and find wisdom.
