I had a recent knee injury. I used several ointments and they did nothing but my Grandmother told me to get the Bengay and I'm so glad i listened because it was the only ointment that I felt and it worked. I used the Ultra Strength.

I'm a big fan of blue-emu's lidocaine cream. It's the only thing I've found that's about as effective as the menthol+camphor combo you find in icy hot and tiger balm but without the smell. I think lidocaine creams/sprays are the way to go, personally.

It would be helpful if, when you reference another video you have made, you would include a link to that video in your description. You have far too many videos for me to search through them all to try and find the one you mentioned here about pain patches. I thought you were going to talk about them, then you took them off the table. Why did you even put them on the tablein the first place if you weren't going to talk about them?

Opiates and antidepressants are bad for sciatic pain, experienced som bad side effects, wheezing, sore dry eyes, dizzy spells, so had to abandon use of them, more trouble than they are worth. Topical treatments are better placed. Can you recommend one for sciatic Piriformis pain.?
@ellatoler40467 жыл бұрын
You don't have Vicks up there. If you can stand the smell Vicks is a decent topical analgesic, same camphor and menthol as some of the more costly ones. Some have more of one or another ingredient but they dull pain to let you sleep or begin to move. Some things use arnica or one of the salicylates. They are all pretty much the same.
@breeviewAWAKENING7 жыл бұрын
Something even better than Vicks, and all natural is eucalyptus essential oil mixed with a carrier oil (like coconut oil for example). Smells great and is a perfect rub.

I'm having to deal with pain in my knees. I started doing a driving job two years ago. I put on 50lbs and got fat. I thought I was big at 215lbs but I shot up to over 260lbs so I don't think I should try doing a driving job again. Now I'm trying to do a normal job where I'm standing but the extra weight is hard on my knees. I bought some Dr. Scholls shoe inserts with helped with some of the pain but I'm about to start doing the keto diet to see if I can drop the weight. In the mean time, I have to deal with the pain so I'm hoping the topical cream I got at Walmart will help out.

@d3s1r3dpk Жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right, moving the head straight up or down can accidentally cause you to pinch your cervical nerves. That is why these movements must be treated like a warmup stretch. Always start slow, don't over extend, and if you peel pain, stop!

All the topicals I've tried for my arthritic hip say to use no more than four times a day. Why that restriction... it's not like they're being ingested. ????
@KateandBree7 жыл бұрын
Barbara O From what I know, it’s because you can get a bad skin reactions. You may not be ingesting it through the mouth, but your skin is absorbing it and your skin can do wacky things to irritating ingredients like menthol, camphor, arnica, and the like if you slather it on over and over through the day like develop rashes, hives, itch like crazy or even swell. I once accidentally put Tiger Balm on one too many times throughout the day and my neck was bright, bright red from irritation. It’s not that I’m actually allergic to Tiger Balm, it’s because I put very irritating ingredients (which is how these products create the relief) on too many times and my skin said, “NOPE!”
