Hi, I’m 20 and I’ve been waddling to each side my entire life. It’s been a distinctive way of finding me in the crowd for family and friends. I did one set today, in front of my mom because I was so excited. I walked completely straight after, my mom has it on video. Now that I know what was wrong, I’m going to do this exercise every day so I can keep it up. Thank you for sharing!!!

Thank you for posting your videos. After watching your videos on hips, I realized I needed to go in for physical therapy BEFORE considering hip replacement, because I needed to correct the problems that caused the pain in my hips. Currently doing many hip abductor exercises but I still have very visible limp. I have been so dedicated to all my therapy exercises and getting frustrated that I can’t improve the limp. Just seen this video so fingers crossed this work. 🙂

U have to do this exercise to target the glute medius muscle which is in sides of the hips. When the glute medius muscles are weak U waddle like a duck. If U r lurching or waddling on the left side that means Ur right glute medius is weak .So u waddle.to the left side n vice versa.👍

Hi how are you doing now? Do you still limp? I also had a femur injury last june 2018. And I just started to walk last week without any support with my doctor's advised. My left leg is also shorter than my other leg, so i thought it's the reason why i limp a little. but when I video my walking it seems like, it's because of the pain in my injured leg. And I think it's normal. So to lessen the pain and to gain more strength on my left leg, I keep on drinking calcium and keep on exercising my leg and hip like what my doctor recommended me. I do side leg raise with resistance band, Bike stationary cycling and walking. And it really helps me a lot! I hope this will help you too. 😊 God Bless!
