I have turf toe pain now. Could you please tell me how you got rid of your turf toe? Did you just do these exercises? Anything else? How long did it take before you reached full recovery? Did you need to do physical therapy or go to a podiatrist?

I saw a podiatrist today and he said I have hallux limitus; I sure hope this stuff works, or surgery would be in my future. He made it sound progressive, stiffer and stiffer.

Thanks a ton for this helpful video. I recently had my 3rd ever gout flare up, and this time the negative effects lasted longer than before. One thing led to another, and my big toe stiffened up with tenderness on the side of my foot. After doing your recommended toe exercises, I have a lot more mobility than before I watched this video. I even have less pain when walking and my foot even looks better. Keep up the great work! I’m happy to have found this video.

I've been meaning to thank Bob & Brad! Have had intermittent foot pain in both feet for years, mild bunions. After doing these exercises pain went from a 9 (out of ten, felt broken could barely walk) to a 5 within minutes, down to a 1-2 next day and have had 0 pain for weeks since then. Easy daily exercise to keep feet limber.

It can be incredibly painful and frustrating at 59 - I was walking in spite of it with very good walking shoes- toe box room and a bit of of curve to shoe to roll foot. Would calf raises be a good strengthener for this joint if there's no pain? I believe that would be considered "weight bearing". Also can this particular joint improve or at least not get worse with these exercises? Is changing footwear & manipulation all we got? Of course, an anti inflammatory diet & regular cardio & weight traing for the overall body will help. I feel like in the yr 2017 there would be way more medical advances for this problem.....(in my opinion, of course) thx!

I suffered this and I am not seeing a dr for it, but almost did because of the pain. What I did was soaked my feet in Epson salt with vigorous shakes from a essential oil, which was peppermint. When I did Epson salt alone nothing happened. But when I used the oil in it not only did it give me back mobility, but took away the pain. I used really warm water and soaked up to ankles. Now I can do these exercises, walk without avoiding pressure, and not be waken up in the night with pain. Even the weight of a sheet hurt. So please if you have no allergies do this. If you need to ventilate to do it do that even if you take it outside. It works! Soak at least until water turns cool, and even try with cool water at times.

I have had this condition for nines years. Wearing flexible shoes with mild arch support helped me ( Nike Free Run and Altra Torin). If the shoes are too stiff, then my feet get stiff. Too much movement can hurt as well. I saw a podiatrist and he just told me to use a metal insert or the fusing option. I knew from experience that he was full of crap. All that to say, I'm excited to give this a shot. I'd give you a year's salary to remove this thorn in my life. Thanks. Subbed.

You guys always come up with so much help. I was in a class for seniors and the last exercises were toe heel lifts then another with the toes in doing swats

I am a adult ballet dancer. I just started my first classes ever in June 2015 2x a week & will be beginning pointe classes this September 2017. I use many of these exercises at home and while warming up. But my problem is I had badly brushed my great toe last year...walked into a staircase step in the dark...thought I was at the landing so I jammed it pretty hard in bare feet. It's finally seems to be healing and I have almost no pain when I pull on it. I exercise my feet daily. I also tape my toes, wear Ouchpouches to protect them while doing pointe. I love your you-tube videos. I am 59 years old and my attitude about ballet is to live my passion until I cannot do it anymore. Any suggestions /tips for ballet dancers?

Omg I love you for taking following your passion and not getting tied down to mere numbers(age). Thanks for sharing your story. It will be an inspiration for so many women and men around the world. Take care and goodluck :)

Approach dancing on point cautiously. It is no friend to your feet. As a former point dancer, I can tell you that you don’t want to create a life long condition that will affect as you age. You have many years ahead of you, so be smart about it. Listen to your body. Good luck to you!

This is AMAZING!!!!!! Thank you so much! My doctor told me the only thing I can do is get a cortisol injection if the pain gets bad. I miss yoga and doing lunges. I am so excited to keep doing these exercises. Thank you, thank you, thank you. :D

Did you ever get a cortisone shot, and, if so, how were your results? Thanks.

@@fitn56 this just came up in feed. Im a little but if you're still wondering. I have had mutiple rounds of cort shots. I personally HATE them. Hurt more in that area more then anywhere else on foot I got them. And....unfortunately for me the little bit of pain relief was NOT worth the shot. It lasted me only a few weeks. Each person has a different pain tolerence so your experience might be different. Hope that helps a litttle.✌

Will this also help gout? I've had it several times in my big toe and the range of motion isn't too good anymore.

Daniel Cooley not really in my opinion. for gout try baking soda in drinking water at least once a day, apple cider with water, and tart cherry juice.

I don't know how you could even touch it with gout. Black cherry juice and lots of water, drink half your body weight in water, and no meat.

@@cocolyndon4604 I didn't have a flare up at the time when I made this. I had a problem with the range of motion in the joint from multiple flare ups in the past. These stretches actually got my toes mobility to be almost the same as my other big toe that has never had gout.
