The BF4 version was itself a cover, it was written by Sonny Curtis and do e originally by the Crickets

Yes, in my "Song History" section of the video (starts at 2:27), I gave proper writing credit to Sonny Curtis. Back in 1965, I only heard the Bobby Fuller Four version of the song, so that version became 'the hit' to me.
