I used to live opposite sir Bobby and he was always friendly and a complete gentleman. My dad was a staunch IPSWICH FC fan, so happy at this fact, but never did get to meet him. RIP sir Bobby and RIP darling dad . Great video thank you

He really was a charasmatic character. He came across totally honest and dignified. He is simply very hard to replicate as a person.

He will never be forgotten here at Porto, not only because he won us two leagues and one cup in three seasons but mainly because it was such an entertaining attacking football to watch those sunday afternoons. RIP, Sir Bob.

As kids watching Robson's Ipswich, we were blinded by the amazing football. Caught up in the atmosphere and euphoria of winning games in a style that just entertained. Never realising , at the time, we were in the presence of a legend, a giant of a man.. To us, as Ipswich fans, he was "Our Bobby". But, of course, he made so many others happy through out his life... A true great. A great Manager, but above all, a great man, and a great human being... Sadly missed, but forever remembered....

Never heard anyone who dislikes the man, incredible what he did at Ipswich with the limited resources he had

One can only dream of what would've been the outcome had Robson taken that ten year contract that Ipswich offered him... A great man, a great manager and leader ✌🏼

I was fortunate enough to grow up in Ipswich during the Robson era. His first three seasons at the club were very difficult, just as you alluded to. On KZbin there's a clip of Manchester United v Ipswich Town in the 1972/73 season. I think it was Beattie's debut. It's a bit like the changing of the guard, a talented United side albeit past its best eclipsed by the upstarts from the country. There was a lot more to Robson's Ipswich tenure than the FA Cup and UEFA Cup wins. The club had modest resources so developed players through its youth system, producing the likes of the late Kevin Beattie, Alan Brazil, John Wark and Terry Butcher. Perhaps the most striking difference between football in the 70's and 80's and the current era is the fact that while at Ipswich Robson signed just 13 players. This was a great upload, mate.

It's interesting with the Man United result cause Clough's Forest truly burst into life by defeating them too. Robson knew how to manage his resources, imagine what he could have done with today's money? Thanks pal

When I was a kid, I watched a documentary on TV about the Robson-era Ipswich, and the impact of that documentary made me pick Ipswich in most of the Championship Manager games (predecessor to Football Manager) in early 2000's. Who knows, I might've become an Ipswich fan, had my heart not chosen Milan already. Brilliant video, as always ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

When l was 7 we moved to Ipswich in '78 and my junior school was on Portman Rd. Friends and family took me to see the Super Blues including the Eufa first leg. At the time l never appreciated how lucky I was to witness this era and l never became a tractor boy as we moved on in '82 as is the RAFs way. I was the only kid in my class who didn't wear the blue and white but have always looked back and felt privileged to have started my love of the game in IP1.

Amazing club really to have statues of both Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson at their ground. To have won the league, fa cup and European trophies and to be such a small town. Unsurpassed in football in this country.

It was a great watch as always. Such a humble guy who touched so many lives and inspired some of the greatest managers of the 21st century. I thought this would be a good video suggestion but could you possibly do a video on Bob Paisley?
