My Bobcat S250 lift cylinder seals were leaking so I decided to try to replace them myself. Wasn't too difficult overall. #bobcat, #s250, #stoutcustom

Using the arm to hold the rod for nut removal w a cheater pipe just never occurred to me. That nut was a show stopper until I saw your video. LoL... who needs a vise... Thanks! Oh and instead of a warning board I just rested my arms on a big tree w wheel chocks along with the standard arm lock that came w my S300.

I have an A300 and watched HowIDidIt first. Since I don't have a crane and a 2000ftlb impact named "Milly" I searched to see how others were doing it and found your video. No offense, but I must say, it's like watching a technical service video of how it should be done, then watching a video of a backyard mechanic using a Crescent wrench and a rock to do the same job. Good job! Certainly eases my concerns of just how tight that bolt is and if the crane is required or the single safety support will do the job. I like the idea of the "early notice 2x6" as well.

Do you need to do both sides if only one side is leaking?

It’s not necessary but up to you. If one side gave up due to wear the other may not be far behind.

I don’t remember having to bleed them. I think I just cycled them through a few times

@@StoutCustom lol, I just saw that typo, I wound up figuring it out. For anyone else it's a 1 11/16 socket. I tried to get mine off with a wrench it wasn't budging. I appreciate the video
