No...This was 1995, Toni was already out since 1992 from the Boomerang soundtrack. Toni's style was a bit different ,with a more sexier vibe and Toni's cut was more sleek and shorter. This was when Anita returned back to the music scene in 1994 with her Rhythm of love album. Toni was influenced by baker, but she totally has her own style!!!💯

I was sitting at Catalina Jazz Club in LA w Art Blakey and some of his band during a set break. Catalina (club owner) brought Miss Anita Baker to the table who was very shy to meet the great Art Blakey. Anita was so stunning, so perfectly dressed & groomed & such a lady I was absolutely floored. Pure class from head to toe. She wore a black lace short sleeved shirtwaist belted dress & sheer black stockings and black simple plain matte black silk mid-heel plain pumps. Dang. She was so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o beautiful. She sang one song w the band later & it was so long ago I can't remember what song it was! A Goddess. Period.
