Do you think a Lincoln signature L would be a better platform to start with since it's closer to the same wheel base as the charger? Or would I run into issues with the body meeting the firewall and stuff with the extra 3 inches of cabin space?

Honestly ide just stick with a Vic or mercury. Lincoln’s tend to pack a lot of wiring and computers plus the dash is a little fatter so you might have to cut way more off the dash than you’d like. But technically yes you could use it.

Hey Dirt, I would like to put a 69 charger body on a Tesla model S, call it the "General E". Wheel base is only 1/2" different. Use all the modern Tesla undercarriage/suspension with the great looks of the charger. I think this would be an awesome car. I also thought about modifying the grille and hood, similar to the modern car nose; having the front edge of the hood slope down for better aerodynamics. The grille would just pass air through, including the headlight doors (having the headlights mounted in a different location and bounce the light forward) I think that would be cool.

Sounds like an interesting build! Go for it.

Great to see that there's more progress! Now the only thing I gotta do is persuade my father into buying a Crown Vic lol.

I think the inside will look good. Tbh the dash looks kinda similar to a real 69 Charger minus the gauges and steering wheel. Hell yeah I'd rock it. You plan on putting a more classic stearing wheel in?

I wanna do something fancy that will blend in well but will still throw you off when you look inside. Maybe momo or grant will have something cool

I got a few questions if you don’t mind? First, Could you do away with the dash and make it more classic looking? Second, could this be street legal? Third, if it is how, and what would it be registered as? A Crown Vic or a Charger? Thank you for any info you can provide man. I’m seriously looking into this.

All depends on how you build it really. You could use a factory dodge dash with a column but you run into the issues with the electrical and air box being in the way. If your prepared for a little bit of welding and wiring I don’t see why you couldn’t do it!
