In a tragic incident that unfolded on July 28 in New Mexico, a 13-year-old girl, identified as Amber Archuleta, was shot and killed. Disturbing bodycam footage from the scene captures the chaotic moments surrounding the shooting and the subsequent investigation. According to authorities, 14-year-old Porfirio Brown, who was later arrested and charged with murder, allegedly shot Archuleta using his father's gun. Initially, the teen attempted to mislead investigators by claiming that the girl had been killed in a drive-by shooting. However, evidence quickly pointed to a different story, leading to Brown's arrest.
Subscribe for more Law&Crime: bit.ly/LawAndCrimeNetwork
The case took another shocking turn when Porfirio Brown's father, 39-year-old William Brown, was also charged in connection with the tragic shooting. The exact nature of the father's involvement and the circumstances that led to him being charged have not been disclosed. The Law&Crime Network's Sierra Gillespie delves into the details of this heartbreaking case, analyzing the bodycam footage and exploring the legal ramifications for both the teenage suspect and his father. So let me get this straight.. Kid shoots a girl in the face. He then lies about his actions. His father lies about his actions. They’re more concerned with themselves than this poor, sweet deceased babygirl. Kid gets taken into custody. Dad gets taken into custody. Kid gets let off to live with grandparents… Am I in the twilight zone? This is absolutely *insane.*

Placing limits on child bearing is unconstitutional and so is this New Mexico law they're charging the dad under. Rights and freedoms are directly at odds with peace and safety. You can't have all of it. Responsibility would be blaming the person who did the crime. You should not be charged with aiding and abetting or contributing to delinquency or any similar charge simply for exercising your rights. We live in sad days in America, when exercising your constitutional rights makes you evil. Civil War II incoming soon.

The judge is a bone head. Why and how could you let that kid be released with no repercussions. We have seen time and time again, people will repeat criminal behavior or acts if the system merely slaps them on the wrist. This isn’t about giving him a second chance, because he does not deserve one. That little girl is not allowed a second chance at life, he took that away from her. He must experience the appropriate punishment, along with the father. I hope the community bands together to get that horrible kid behind bars.

3:00 I feel bad for the brother, the way he keeps repeating questions and not listening to the cop tells me he’s probably in shock. He’s not entirely there. When someone stabbed my hand with a small object by mistake, I kept repeating,” it hurts,” even though it didn’t hurt. I was completely blank and in pure shock. It’s a strange feeling, and this clip reminded me of that.

Hate to say it, but the nonchalant attitude of that entire household (specifically with guns laying around, disregard for the job law enforcement has to do, the way the kid speaks to his parents, and how quickly he fabricates a total lie) tells me the sister wasn't on the path to leading a good life, either. It's a shame she had to die, but this is a perfect example of how some people should never procreate to begin with. And I suspect they are a product of poor parenting, as well, meaning their own parents should not have had children, either.

This makes me so angry and frustrated. My blood is boiling. Both the son ( charged as an adult) and the father should be charged. Both of them should get life without parole. It's ridiculous and wrong that he got sent to his grandparents' house. Something has to be done. He is guilty of murder. Justice needs to be given to the girl and her family. This is not right.

Hey the public wants guns, they should see the consequences. This is what guns cause. Guns weren’t invented to protect, they were invented to kill. BODY ARMOR is to protect, a SHIELD is for protection. Calling a gun a means of protection is like calling a katana a means of protection in the samurai age; except japan was smart enough back then to RESPECT the fact that those were tools for killing. Americans don’t share that same respect for guns.
