A friendly encounter between police and a suspect suddenly turns into a foot chase that escalated into a shootout. The Buffalo Police Department in New York released bodycam footage showing a police officer and an allegedly armed suspect exchanging gunfire on July 24. Police responded to a call about an apparent threat, which was followed by a friendly conversation between officers and the men in question. During the conversation, an officer noticed a bulge in one of the man's pants, which he believed to be a firearm. When the officer confronted the man about the bulge, the suspect apparently took off running and allegedly shot at the officer who pursued him. The officer returned fire and lost the suspect shortly after. Another officer found the suspect laying next to a fence and took him into custody. According to police, the officer involved in the shooting and the suspect did not suffer any injuries.

This is very true, Buffalo has an unemployment rate of 5% with an average of 7-8, no work, nothing to do, sad city to work in. People don't like PD, no reason for it just idle minds with poor education produce just a bad atmosphere and little to no prosperity. I knew of one BPD that left the state and has nothing good to say about Buffalo except the persons that work the PD have a rough job and it's not going to get better.

No guys 😂 go by where he puts the light, he shined the light on the dude multiple times. He saw him. But, he doesn’t know the guy well. So he first assumed it was a casualty and went to look for the shooter before addressing him. To then realize it must be him and even talks about him ditching the hoodie. The cop is actually insanely lucky, because if that “casualty” as he assumed, still had the gun and was coherent… he woulda got shot in the back.

I mean in a lot of areas it isn't uncommon for folks to be armed. I live in TN and it's legal for anyone to carry a firearm (unless a convicted felon) and just accepted that the person next to you in a store likely has a gun on them. Last time I got pulled over the officer asked "hey do you have any weapons" and I said "yes, small of my back under my belt" his reply was "dont reach for yours and I won't reach for mine" Got my warning, then went on with our days.
