The Warden isn't a boss, it's moreso just meant to be an extremely overpowered enemy that you're *not supposed to spawn.* Hence why it isn't a balanced fight in the slightest and doesn't drop anything good if you do actually kill it.

“Oh, look at all this good loot in the City!” Yeah, I can get almost all of it other places from different structures of villagers. The only good item that’s unique is swift sneak, and once you have 4 of those, there’s no reason to ever visit an Ancient City ever again. That’s the problem Mojang has. They can’t figure out how to make new things worth it without changing even the tiniest bit of progression, which is their goal for some reason. Why add new things if your goal is to not let it change the game?

bruh, once you have full netherite, farms, trading halls and all that there is no reason to visit ANY structure anymore. the rpoblem with the community is that you all already made a standarized "Progression" in a SANDBOX game. you can CHOOSE to do or not do literally EVERYTHING. there is nothing forcing you to go to an ancient city, or do anything in the game at all, you just do shit because you want it, and if the new additions dont perfectly line up with your narrow vision of what you allow to haooen in your own worlds it's NOT the game's fault

@@AlfaJuegaYT I appreciate the sentiment, most player seem to not realise that nothing forces you to do anything in Minecraft. But what I'm saying is, if I DO choose to go there, I should be justly compensated for the massive risk. I don't want some crazy new weapon, or a big new step in progression, all I would like is some better loot than two pieces of diamond gear, one Notch apple, and Swift Sneak. Everything else is pretty useless. Ice, glow berries, recovery compass (It's kinda useful, but with how fast items despawn, you'll probably still loose the items, even if you have the compass), amethyst, etc, can all be gotten elsewhere (with the exception of the compass), in larger quantities, in safer locations. The only things that are unique to the City is Swift Sneak (The only properly useful item there), the compass, and the music disc (which is a bop, not gonna lie, I love it) The loot table needs to be better for the very high risk on an Ancient City. Nothing crazy, but perhaps any kind of lightly enchanted diamond armor could be found, instead of just legs, maybe a small chance for more Notch Apples to spawn, with one still guaranteed in the central chest, or a lodestone in the center, as we already have the recovery compass, and putting a lodestone in the center, with a regular compass nearby would, one, potentially teach new players what a lodestone even does, and, be a good way to get one, without using a Netherite ingot

alright, since you asked, here’s some information about the warden you were never meant to kill the warden. you CAN, but you absolutely should not try. the warden is birthed by tripping up sculk shriekers, but also sculk _sensors_ (those blocks with the flowy tentacles, they’re activated by vibration; sneak to avoid activating them) if they’re in close enough range to a shrieker. if you activate a sculk shrieker four times, the warden will spawn. when tripped, shriekers (and the warden itself) will inflict the darkness effect, which you very clearly saw lol wool muffles vibration entirely. if you wanted to break a sensor or shrieker without activating it, you would need to surround it in wool first. use wool as building blocks to be safe in the deep dark as well. the warden despawns after 60 seconds (i think) of silence (no vibration, noise, or scent. it can smell you you are stinky.) it is gradually agitated by those three things and will attack if angry enough, but will immediately become hostile if you hit it. unfortunately, other mobs (your dogs) can further agitate the warden. i died so many times because a bat was floating around and making it angy (normally no mobs can spawn directly in the deep dark, but if there’s a biome adjacent to it, mobs may spawn near it) my whole strat is to RUN during its spawning animation, cover myself in wool, and just. pray, i guess. there are a million better ways to do it but that’s just what i do lol ancient cities have really good loot, but carry a lot of risk. don’t run in there willy nilly if you ever plan to take one on again.

The selling point of Minecraft is that there are no rules, you can do anything, it was when I bought the game in 2015, it is now. But when recent versions have a clear meta, even in single player it makes the game far less fun. and healing from food alone literally isn't enough to survive the Warden's sonic blasts. The sonic blasts deal 7.5 hearts (15 dmg), and even applying the infinite saturation potion effect for won't heal you fast enough before the warden blasts you again. You quite literally need gapples to stand any chance, mostly for absorption hearts. The warden's blasts are op as FUCK
