Amazing! Please don't stop this series. For me who's new to DCS, with literally 0 knowledge...this is extremely helpful and motivational.

That is a really helpful guide for a completely new player to DCS or any Sim platform. I'm bringing a friend to DCS and this would definitely help a lot.

Yoo , bogey that landing was butter ass hell. Thanks for all the work now know how PAPI lights work.

Actually landing in Marianas is not the easiest one. The runways are quite a lot sloped there.

Always with the helpful tips! Thanks a lot!

Holy had no clue about the runway lights indicators, been into dcs for about a year and that’s the most helpful thing for landings I’ve learned so far! Hell yeah

Not every airfield have PAPI lights. And in Caucasus those are broken. They indicate much higher glide slope than it should be.

@ ah shame, appreciate you letting me know before i bothered trying to use it at all😅

About avionics language: In gameplay options menu you can set the global avionics language. This mainly affects aircrafts from the Flamming Cliffs pack, their displays language - HUD language, Skhval language, arbis language in KA-50 and on. If you have L-39, you can switch between metric or imperial gauges by selecting units in gameplay options menu. This all is from era when the special options menu did not exist yet.

According to DCS:W SU-25T flight manual you should use full flaps for take off.
@stewartckeith14 сағат бұрын
Full flaps for takeoff and landing. Middle position is maneuver flaps for better turning. Then full up for speed and cruise efficiency. You can leave em in the middle position and turn without then breaking.

Note about variometer: It has too slow reaction. It shows real descent rate only when the aircraft is at stable descent for some time. When the aircraft changes its descent rate, the variometer is not able to show instantaneous value. There is some dampening to filter out oscilations. Because of that I always use mk.1 eyeball for checking my descent rate on flare. But for new players would be good to somehow keep eyes on variometer until they will get sense for it.

Wish you mentioned trimming in flight.

It is already mentioned in Ralfidude's guide very well. People should stick to that guide because it is probably the best of all I know.

I didn't know about the mod for english cockpits. I wonder if there is a mod to convert the hud to imperial (Knots/Feet)?

IMO the SU-25T training missions are still quite broken. I was making some training mission reviews and posting them in forum to show to developers what is wrong in those. But still there is much work to be done. Also I think the "tutorial" should include some controls setup wizzard to makes things easier for the first time experience.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this video, that video was released last week to this series. - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJnWc2qVaa2ZoLM

@@BogeyDope Yes, your guide is good. But I mean something integrated right in game. Something like "first time experience tutorial". Player starts it and first thing he will see is to choose whenever he wants to use M+K or joystick. Then it asks to move joystick's pitch axis to set elevator controls, then it asks to move joystick's roll axis, and on....
@BogeyDopeКүн бұрын
@@jaromirandel543 Oh you mean something baked into the tutorial mission itself. Yes. I agree. That would be very nice.
