So what you're saying Jingles is that both versions of Akizuki, the WoWs imposter and the real one, come with a "press here to start murder" button. The feline one is possibly located somewhere near the belly but it does depend on the cat. One of mione was totally fine with belly rubs. Touch the paws? "You have crossed the line human! Technically, both have their Murder buttons located on their belly (Akizuki's Torps being on the mid-ship) while both its 4 paws and 4 100mm daka daka guns rapidly scrstch you in pain until death.

7:00 although a triple strike achievement does not exist in PC, blitz does have one named "lighting strike" To get it you need to kill three enemies within 5 seconds, its a pretty darn hard one to get though, i myself have been playing blitz for a good amount of time with nearly 10k battles and i have never gotten a single lighting strike

As far as I can tell, the only easy-ish way to get a lightning strike medal is to use a CV like Kaga or Hakuryu Nail 1 ship with bombs and another 2 with torps

Recently had a battle in Wot which was a breath of fresh air, playing a t8 against t10, battle took 13 minutes and managed to get a 4 vs 5 to 4 vs 0. My heart hadn't raced that much in forever, love those close battles that take longer than 4 or 5 minutes.

Jingles you're mostly right on the japanese destroyer names but I wanted to add that it wasn't just wind and moons but also waves, weather, clouds and natural phenomena that Japanese named their destroyers after. For example you have "Hibiki" which means "Echo" , "Fubuki" which means "Blizzard", "Yugumo" for "evening clouds" and "Ayanami" for "twilled waves"

That Omaha vs. 2 x Gneisenau actually clearly demonstrates that sometimes you DO want to nose in on BBs. Sure, if they hit you they are almost guaranteed to citadel you from the arming time, but that is very big IF. Remember, we're talking about BBs rolling the dice to hit a target the size of on Omaha bow. Smart money is on one or less hits.

Why does everyone hate the Omaha? Yes, it is a fragile ship, but just stay at max range and never stop shooting. And most importantly: Pick fire alert and start dodging whenever starts looking ur way. (Which is possible cause of that good maneuverbility of Omaha) I did 136k dmg once this way!

Yup, Omaha is good. Just a high-skill-floor ship for T5. He's just wrong that you should give broadside to bait overpens instead of citadels through the nose: you'll get citadelled anyway, but the nose is a much smaller target

The best thing about the Omaha is that it has those casemate guns, you can be bow in and have 6 guns pointing forward. The Phoenix even more so, if you angle her around 10 degrees you can basically have the same firepower as if you were broadside minus one gun. Before I quit the game I kept my Furutaka, Omaha and Phoenix just for shits and giggles with the boys.

The Triple B (BBB, Bitching Battleship) in the first clip was the true highlight. Bitching about the useless DD and having no help. Meanwhile, the DD scores three kills to their 0. It's just one of the many reasons why I "love" WoWs so much.

Not only winds and moons, generally Japanese destroyers are named after natural phenomenon. Harugumo and Yuugumo for example means Spring/Evening clouds, Asashio amongst other ones are named after "Tides", and Fubuki is straight up "Blizzard" Add to that, light cruisers are often named after rivers (Sendai, Chikuma, Mogami), more heavily armored ships (heavy cruisers/some battleships) are named after mountain/mountain ranges (Takao, Kongo), bigger ships are named after names of Japan/names that relate to Japan's identity (Yamato, Fuso) or names of provinces, and carriers are named after mythical, flying beasts (Hosho/Flying Phoenix,, Ryuujou/Prancing Dragon, etc) except for maybe Shinano (which, reflecting its conversion from a Yamato-class battleship, is a province name)

Ah, yes, my favorite tier X battle, facing Lyons and Alanta's, ah Jingles, never change my friend, I think the reasoning you thought he was in a tier X battle is because the Udaloi is a tier IX ship. That has thrown me off a few times myself when I play my tier VII's like Alanata B and I find tier IX's in the match too lol, mostly been destroyers though. Also side note, it's players like Vasssey that makes me wish there was a instant mute button in games sometimes. Nothing annoys anyone more then having that 1 player that constantly bitches throughout the entire match, ah, I love watching the salt shaker shake in chat sometimes. Also..hearing little Akizuki meow is so dam cute! I love that the mic picks her up x3.

Playing Omaha taught me that kiting is life for light cruisers. You really do learn how to wiggle the backend, juke the throttle and avoid entire salvos because if even one BB shell lands, the Omaha can be dead. I actually enjoy playing it because the range and number of guns means it can be fairly effective but like Emerald, one mistake and you're dead, because they're constructed entirely from citadels and explodium.

Shortest battle I've been in was about 90 secs. Enemy team had TWO three DD/CC divs from the same clan. They proceeded to torpedo each other in spawn and that was that. Wish I'd kept the screenshot.

I did a battle where little half the team went down mid. I thought the game was lost, but they managed to break through, and the reds that had split to take A and D had to turn around and come back to try and kill half our team, while taking flanking fire from the remainder of our team closing on them. It was a massacre for them.

I reckon I've seen at least two battles of this length. On both occasions the two DD's got themselves killed in the first 3 minutes., the BB's and CA/CL's sat in the back whilst the enemy DD's capped. Our cruisers panic and try to contest the caps only to be paddled most epically into oblivion. It's never pretty.

Sadly, I feel pretty sure that if we were able to examine the server stats we would find that in fact 7 minute battles happen every single day. I only play rarely these days, but even playing a dozen games a month or so, I often see games that last ten minutes or less.

Had triple kill within 10 sec on my North Dakota in a game quite a while ago. Got too close to an island and managed to swing the two front turrets around to destroy a damaged DD and a damaged CL that came around the island at point blank range. The rear turret was still coming around only to catch a third ship, also point blank, trying to torpedo me from the other side of the island and down he went. This battle was before replays were done automatically and suffice to say I set it up to record replays after that.

When I played this game, Omaha was my favourite and most played ship. For the fun and the gameplay. I averaged a 66% win rate in it, playing solo randoms. I never enjoyed the high tier gameplay as much, because it seemed to be too serious and too infested with angry toxic players.

@@ursamajor7468 Depending on the matchmaking, I used to deliberately hang my arse out quite often, 1st thing in a battle. Because I knew when to turn and get ready to kite away and it's better for me to be targetted whilst dodging at reasonable range than for team-mates to blapped because they sailed in a straight line broadside on. And at other times I'd use team mates as meat shields. And sometimes I'd use them as spotters whilst spamming from behind islands. 1 on 1 I was confident I could take any tier 7 BB on, apart from the Sinop, as long as I had room to kite and taunt them.

As a Shima player, he is absolutely true. Radars delay capping, but has cooldown. As a t10 DD player you must know this and count with it. And with radars on cooldown, there is nothing holding you back from overspotting enemy big DDs, especially russian ones. Last week we had a double Shima div with my clan mate and we turned up on Ocean map. 4 DDs per team, against us Daring and Tashkent. Our two Shimas became absolute area denial for A + B caps and we both ended way above 100k dmg mark. Enemies possesed shortly C cap, but due to insane torpedo powery fairly powerful Shima guns (especially when doubled) and huge advantage in spotting we drove them out, spot-killed the Daring (400m difference is a lot) and kept Tashkent comfortably spotted for the rest of the match.
