Omg ty so much for this! I just started tunisian crochet this week and I've never made a cardigan. I searched everywhere and finally found your amazing video. Literally a pattern where I can use any stitch

I'm attempting to make a Tunisian Knit Stitch sweater and I had wondered how to do the sleeves. I've only ever done sleeves in the round, but with a Tunisian stitch I wasn't sure what the best way to do it was. So thank you for making this video! This is really helped give me an idea on how to do the sleeves.

So excited to make this! I just subscribed to your channel. Its so nice to see someone doing trendy Tunisian Crochet garments. I loved how the size was customizable. I'm really small and can't find a lot of things to fit. Thanks again!

Thank you, and welcome to the family! I’m working to make the majority of my patterns customizable. My mom, sister and I usually have a hard time with traditional clothing sizes 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I figured many other folks do as well. Glad to hear this type of pattern works for you too 🙂

This is great! My mind is reeling with all the possibilities. I love creating using measurements as opposed to stitches. Everyone’s stitches are different. And with your customizable guide I can use this concept for many projects and different stitches. I bought your pattern and subscribed! Thanks!

Great tutorial like all of yours! I'm new to tunisian crochet... just 2 questions: in the usual knit stitch, do you skip 1 stitch and knit stitch in the next? At the start and end of the knit stitch you didn't yarn over before inserting the hook in the stitch. Is this done for any stitch (not to yarn over at the start and end of the row)? Thank you if you will answer....thank you anyway for the video!!
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke Жыл бұрын
Thank you! No, for the usual knit stitch, you KS into every stitch. There’s no yarn over or skipped stitches, either. Also, no. This stitch specifically calls for a yarn over and skip (or no skip at the beginning and end of the row). Not all stitches are the crocheted same. You’ll slowly start to learn them, no worries 😉 for now, work on the basic stitches and get those down. Most other stitches build off of the basic three: Simple Stitch, Knit Stitch, Purl Stitch. Everything else is simply a variation or a combination of those.

Question: If we are putting two panels together, shouldn't the panel width be half of our "shoulder to shoulder" measurement?
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke Жыл бұрын
You can, absolutely! It’d make a more form-fitting cardigan as opposed to an oversized/house sweater.

Hi I’m a new subscriber I would love to get that hook set , I’ve been looking at them on amazon for a while now my question is how’s the Oder and does it go away I bought a different set and it gave me a headache 🤕

Hi! Thanks for commenting and subscribing! The bamboo hooks smelled like plastic when they first arrived. I hung mine outside (in a cool, shady place) for a day or two. The smell went away, no problem. If you store them somewhere fairly airtight, they will smell faintly of plastic again, so I suggest storing them somewhere that vents (like a crocheted bag or something that breathes). This will keep the hooks from smelling badly. If you store them in a crocheted bag, you can also spray the bag lightly with a water-diluted essential oil spray. Place the hooks inside and rub the bag gently. It’ll make the bamboo part of the hook smell like the EO you used. (I like Lavender-mint 😊). Hope this helps! Ps: stay clear of the hooks with the colored cables. Those can stain light-colored yarns.

J’aimerai faire les tutoriels en français, mais mon vocabulaire des termes de crochet c’est super limité. 😅 je pense que ça peut causer beaucoup de confusion.

I bought your pattern for the cardigan am just wondering if the sides are supposed to have a small amount of slant when working in this stitch? I'm fairly new to tunisian (but a long time traditional crocheter) and this is only my 3rd project. My first scarf was in a honeycomb stitch and had no slanting, the third was a hat in the round so didn't have this issue! Thanks in advance!
@ModeBespoke
@ModeBespoke 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And thanks for asking! It may slant a little, so long as you notice the slant runs parallel on both sides of the panel, it should be ok. If one side slants, and not the other, then you’re probably increasing (inadvertently). You can also check this by counting your stitches for a few rows. If you have the same number of stitches as you did in the beginning, you’re ok. The slant will correct itself when you sew the panels together along the sides. If you want to get rid of it before sewing, block your panels. To block, wet your fabric and lay it flat on a towel, correcting the slant, so that it dries straight. Then just let it dry for a day or two. You may need a pin or two to hold the fabric in place, but it’s quite simple and works every time 😉. Hope this helps! Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
