Thanks for the note! I've gone back to the mandolin. Don't worry, I've not given up will keep noodling around on the violin.

I have been learn this for a few weeks, the first grasshopper version, and I do it fine except it's been quite mechanical. This video instantly cured me of that. Idk why but it flipped a switch. It's the only song I play mechanically for some reason but you helped me, so, I thank you.

I don't know if you are still doing lessons. But I love these two lessons. I am an older adult and love the way you taught these lessons. Thank you so much.

I know this is an old video, but I love this. My daughter is 5 and we are just now starting this song. We have a truly excellent teacher, but it's wonderful to be able to have these videos at home. Thank you!

Thanks so much. My son is curious about fiddling and enjoys your videos. He especially likes your "apple pie" and "grasshopper" tips to help him learn the rhythms. We look forward to more of your videos! ~Maria..

As a novice adult learner, I learned so much more from this one video than any other fiddling resources I've tried. Your approach is so adorable and very helpful. I can't get "grasshopper" out of my head. Excellent video!
