A thing they missed was Sarah Lynn's childhood In the flashback she mentions that her mom's boyfriend is a "photographer" and later on in the ep, when asked how she knows what bears fur tastes like, she says "My stepfather was a bear" Considering how she later turned into an pop star sex icon and later a drug addict, this is some pretty dark stuff. Before all this it was easy to just chalk up her current state to being a child celebrity, but we now learn that there was so much more than that going on in her childhood
@zTheWizard6 жыл бұрын
Yep, she was totally abused by her stepfather. There's a lot of subtle details in the series that manage to tell different stories and you'll never know if you don't pay attention. Edited to add: bear = pedobear. Get it, huh?

I'm not sure if you guys are understanding the deeper meaning of this show. The imagery at 15:07 is extremely profound, because while Herb says "the future is bright", the fabricated cardboard sky is happy and bright, while the *real* sky is gloomy and bleak. In other words, it demonstrates the contrast between acceptance and denial, reality and ignorance. That is an important theme with Bojack Horseman, in general. It's a depressing message with how the entertainment industry would like to have the audience believe that everything is wonderful to keep them ignorant to the truth. This series aims to subvert that.

A lot of stuff goes over these guys heads, for instance when Henry Winkled said: "There's no meaning to death, that's why it's so terrifying." she thought it was a joke 🤦♂️

18:47 Youre so right. Its like Todd and BoJack are stuck in a toxic relationship. BJ shits on Todd all the time to keep his confidence low because he's afraid hes going to leave him.
@angeloacuna78192 жыл бұрын
lmao it's ironic because how Bojack treat Todd is oddly similar to how Walt treats Jesse on Breaking Bad. It is ironic because Todd and Jesse shares the same actor.

Storage Wars is the *worst* lol. "Here's a bunch of used pens. I bet I can get 50 cents for each one" No you can't. No one is going to buy your old, used pens. Everything in that storage locker is trash, that's why someone just left it there.

I always thought herb wrote a children’s book designed for kids. Which is why everyone read it and said it was garbage/why the dot dot dots were in such huge font. Like they expected the manuscript to be the next friends series or be the next titanic film when it’s just a kids book. (I feel like it plays into Diane’s later stories with books and her struggle to write something she sees meaning in and have joy making. - herb called this his gold the thing he was excited about and I don’t think the other adults saw that in this moment because they were all self obsessed and too focused on themselves at herbs funeral.) His discussion throughout the film was how he would actually help kids and listen to kids (be it the cast members or be it all his charity and donations to children’s schools libraries etc) and tell children fun uplifting stories like how the premise of horsing around is the adoption of orphans from an orphanage… herb always sort of stayed true to focusing on orphans and helping them get adopted either with a tv show showing that adoption is a wonderful thing or showing how his own donations and contributions financially could create positive change for those kids. he wanted stories that wouldn’t be tied to the TV show because it stopped being about the kids at all and only became about Bojack. He still make his name a household name via a book (similar to bojack wanting his on shelves for 100 years not a buzzfeed article) a book lasts a while which makes them all wanting to have a book ban and book burn sort of wild and a horrible decision that they all agree upon saying it’s in herbs best interest after he’s dead, with no known living relatives??? It was in his will and told to everyone exactly what he wanted to happen and none of them listened to him or paid attention to his wants/needs not even the nurse who on some level agreed to take the book.
