Barney: so then there were these giant fireball-spitting bullsquids, a giant purple crystal that constantly power surged, I took a twenty minute ride on one of those flying manta rays and had to shoot down these giant orange pillars with a cannon, then I had to solve all these puzzles with the glowing leaf thingies before getting finally getting to the focal point where i had to figure out what the code to the generator was and when I powered it up all these grunts and flying brain things started attacking me, then I fell down into some kind of factory and that was just to get the teleporter aligned. Rosenberg: well I'm afraid the next step will be a bit more complicated. You see, Murdoch and Ronnie went down to charge up another power cell, and never came back. Barney: fffffffffffffffff

Otis will be separated from the group either by the HECU or the aliens and from there he will head to the place where we find him in opposing force And about Ronny I have 3 endings for him 1: he also dies in the battery room 2: he is killed by the hecu since at the end of blue shift they enter the laboratory 3: In his desperation to escape, he jumps into the portal without being fully prepared and either dies or is teleported to Xen or some random place without any care. Or maybe hecu collective will surprise us and allow us to save everyone in some way considering that they have taken the liberty of changing many things from the original blue shift

Chapter 5 is wonderfully executed, don’t get me wrong. Still, there’s a part of me that feels an opportunity was missed to fix the slightly ridiculous idea of just sending Barney across in his guard uniform, while everyone else had an HEV suit on. Since the facility being used was so old, it would only make sense to put him in one of the pea-soup colored suits and call it a “Mark 2”, for example. They could have even added the old-style crouch jump, and introduced the whole thing using a wild-haired scientist named Ivan. Ah, it’s nice to dream…

Hecu collective be like : remember power struggle ? Barney had to charge some batteries and stuff.... Well in our remake he will have to fight an epic battle of 5 hous of gameplay against a giant empty battery with super powers. The battery is also a metal clone of Rosemberg but evil . At the end of this chapter Barney will be so powerful that will fist fight gman himself before the plot of half life 2 but valve never said that.

Power Struggler Will must probably add more exploration lore to the old portal facilities, and find a Path around the derilicted instalations. It is expected a full hour episode, or two. Leap of Faith is more probably to be as short like the original, unless the battle between the HECU and the portal Room escalares further. (But once chapter 6 is done, the 7th are also made).

I'll be honest, I loved chapter 5, lots of references, new creature variants. they even added the Chumptoad's lair (3:34:20 It is located right in that flooded area), all is beautiful. However, I think they went overboard in adding too many puzzles and complicating many areas, sometimes even being a little stressful because of the confusing level design and too many big-headed aliens spoiling our party, but all this is only a subjective opinion. I can't wait to see the next chapter :D

CC and HECU devs really overdo their xen sections with overly busy maps. BM could have cut an hour out of interloper and even xen. BMBS should have cut half an hour from Focal Point. It's also a lot more unbelievable than OG BS where Barney was already becoming as OP as Freeman without an HEV suit

I loved Focal Point. The cutscenes were epic, especially when Barney hold on to the falling Manta Ray. Some people have been complaining about the chapter length and unnecessary puzzles, but compared to original how underwhelming and rushed Xen felt I think the remake did justice to it.

In my honest opinion i think focal point would be better if it was shorter and if the part when you destroy the jammer have more ammo for the other guns instead of rockets and satchels for some reason. After the fight should be at least some ammunition for other guns and some healing because having almost no ammo trying to escape the xen factory is really not fun. Made me use cheats such as impulse 101 and god mode just to complete the final parts. Otherwise its an okay chapter

And along 20 years. The Main building was made after 1981 and had several improvements until 1998, as seen on Meeting Room, including a railway and several satelittes buildings. The Nihilanth civilization also build several basements. The evidence points that G-Man made contact with the aliens to avoid major confronctation with Black Mesa, but around 2003, when the Resonance Cascade happens (must be some black agreement between G-Man and the Combine), the Nihilanth army made an assault on Xen basements from Black Mesa and on Earth.

Focal point was pretty good, sure on my first playthrough i had to look over this video when i got stuck on things twice (and tried to avoid spoilers in the process) but nonetheless it was decent Best of luck on the dev team for the next few chapters remaining! (if that happens, not sure but still fingers crossed)
