Bolognese sauce may just be one of those special sauces that is actually celebrated and made the world over AND there are many different variations of it. Bolognese sauce is also an extremely versatile sauce that can be and is incorporated into many other recipes like lasagna. It's a sauce that takes some time, so make A LOT and enjoy the process and if you're hung over, you won't be after eating because it will put you right to sleep. Enjoy my friends!

I use chicken stock and not too much tomato sauce. Also, some fish sauce works well in a bolognese to enhance the meaty flavor.

Got a different type of bolognese recipe that runs in the family, recon I’ll try this one out and see what my mum thinks of it. Will always revert back to tradition tho haha

I've been cooking the same bolognese for years now, and while delicious, I'm too familer with it, looking forward to trying this version out, looks good! Also that's funny, I'm the exact same with bay leaves, I buy em, I use em, but I'm not fully convinced they actually do anything aha

So what is the deal with Bay leaves? DO they actually do anything? I just find them a nuisance to dig them out when I'm ready to plate.

Haha I have mixed feelings about them. I see, hear and read what chefs say that they do but I am still suspicious. Supposedly they leave a mild, herbal, and slightly floral flavor into the dish.
