Your garden is becoming so filled with life. Absolutely Beautiful! On another note, I'm so sorry to hear the loss of your dear, young, friend. May The Mother of God, and our Mother, fill the family with God's peace & consolation and strengthen them all during these turbulent, mournful days. That's what a Mother does, is brings comfort when Her children are hurting. God bless them and may God's perpetual Light shine upon the soul of the young man and may he rest in peace. Thank you, Jess for all you're teaching us. God bless you & your family also. Your little "Ben" is so adorable! So precious.🤗💕

Praying for your friend who lost her son at a young age. I know the feeling unfortunately having lost our 19 year old. The joy is knowing the future time I have with my son in heaven will far exceed the time we had here on this side of heaven. However the hole in my heart is never very far from my thought. May the Lord comfort her and get her through the next few years i particular. It's the hardest thing a parent can experience but I pray she remembers the best is yet to come.

I made a drawing of my garden layout on a large piece of paper (like drafting size) and then had it laminated. This allows me to use either a dry erase marker, or a permanent marker that can be removed with rubbing alcohol to write out what goes where. I use a different colour marker to write in spring summer and fall plants so that I can see the succession that will take place in each area. I then snap a picture of it and store it on my computer before I start fresh the next year.

Loving sweet Ben amd Kitten George. Here in SE VA, the dreaded white moth has appeared for the first time on my overwintered kale. I now have my first upside down mesh laundry bag cover from dollar store in place already. Also, harvest your smaller broccoli leaves, they make a delicious green that gets sweeter the longer you saute in butter. Many plants can be saved somehow, if not the flower, then the leaves. That same kale has gone to seed but I am going to save seed, and I dont want to provide a huge breeding ground for other moths.
