I cut out many minutes of struggle to get the window back on the roller. Consider having a good glass shop that has lots of experience with older vehicles do the job if you wish to avoid some headaches.
It sure helped a lot that there was that extra hole in the door panel.

This video is better than most c10 instructions because it is most like my 67 G10 van. I see you got a totally new vent window Assy. Don’t think it’s available for the van so I am fighting to reseal it. Pita. Your explanation of the sequence will help on reassembly. My main window fell out of the track, that’s what got me started in the first place.

Great video. Instead of the rubber tape to hold the glass in the channel I used windshield urethane. I also pinch the channel so it doesn't catch on the new wiper whiskers.

Thank you so much for this helpful video. My passenger-side window got cracked and I was worried that if I don’t remove it properly it would shatter and create a mess. Thanks to you I was able to remove the small folding window easily, which I had no idea was removable, then had more than enough space to remove the actual window without any problems. Again, thank you for the video! (Note: I only watched the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds, as I was able to find what I wanted quickly!)

Hey Bombero42, I’ve got a roll of the Chevy 3/64 window setters tape. Your background looks like you might live close to me in Southern California. If you’d like some for another project, let me know. I’ve got enough for two lifetimes and your welcome to a few feet as a gift for taking the time to make a quality vid for newbies to Chevy truck restoration. Just send me a message through KZbin and I’ll be happy to hook you up. Take care. Tony in North Orange County.

Do Not Ever let the door glass slip and fall to the bottom of the door body. The window roller frame Will dent the outside of your freshly painted door causing you to cry and cuss alot.

Good pointers. Thanks Did not see you inspect passenger window regulator rollers that guide the mechanism. My 66 has 2 that are rusted pretty good. Replacements are available $4. Got to drill out old ones. Cheaper than new regulator which is about $60.

I used Brother's. Try a little inspection light like I used and see if you can see exactly where it is hitting. Do it in a dark garage to see better.

My 65 chevy G10 van windows wint stay in the track down inside the door. Afraid to take it apart more than I did. Seeing how no one makes spare parts for these. I had to have a windshield and side window cut and it was not cheap.

It was at least 15 years ago so I don't remember for sure, but it was probably the same company I used for my Studebaker belts. www.gemstreetrods.com/Products.htm By now they probably have different belts. On this truck I had to get a reinforcing plate up behind for the swivel attachment bolt. used 3/16 steel about 3" by 6". On the back of that I welded on a nut of the same thread that the belt hardware used. Then I lightly welded on about an 18" piece of welding rod to the bottom of the plate. This is to sneak the plate up there between the sheet metal inner panel and the outer body. As you tighten the bolt the plate will turn and lodge against the outer body skin. Then you can twist off the welding rod. On mistake I made was to leave a sharp corner on the steel plate and it made a ding on the rear outer body skin of the cab as I tightened the bolt.
