Bon Iver is my soundtrack to losing my brother, my friend, my confidant. RIP CH

I never leave comments on youtube, but I feel you. I lost my 3 closest family members in 2021. My dad killed himself, my mom died 7 months later and my grandfather less than a month later. Bon Iver has been my soundtrack for over a year now. Helps with the tears, helps with the emotions. It just helps.

I was there that night and I loved every moment. It went by really fast but I will always cherish that night. I've been wanting to see him live for four years now and this year I went out on a limb, bought the tickets, tried to find someone to go with the day before and drove 600 miles just to see him. I'm glad that he is in my life and I'm glad that he was, in person, that night. 22 (OVER S∞∞N)

MAN that is awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing. I as well heard Justin for the very first time this summer. He went to Denmark on a indie festival I joined. It was so amazing! me and my friends were speechless afterwards. We barely said a word. We just knew. It was magic.

Frederik Malmvig ,I’m so glad that you and your friends got to experience Bon Iver live for the first time. Just watching so many videos of him for years and then seeing him walk on stage was so incredible. The fact that he was right there in the same space as me, in person, was absolutely incredible! I have a new favorite recording of Justin that I think that you would love. It is a very powerful and emotional version of Beth/Rest! kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6eccp2VZ8-oorM I hope that you enjoy life and live it greatly! Always remember; no matter if it is good or bad: “It might be Over S∞∞N”

Thank you so much for your very kind reply! You made my day special! When I came to the festival I didn't know that Justin Vernon also were to play with a band called 'mixtapes'. They were the very first band to play at the festival and because me and my friends went early to the festival we were first in line standing about five meters from Justin! and there were only 10 other people. It was so weird! The living legend was just messing around with his guitar and setup on a small stage right in front of us. I could not agree more on Beth/Rest! Every version, live, studio, anything about that song is purely magic. My most favorite. Ive actually had a dream for 2 years now of getting the title tattooed. I will graduated this summer, and I thought It would be an excellent time to do it. 'sure some hazardry' in life but there are things worth fighting for.

During the speech are 0:38 while talking about Swamp Dogg I swear he plays the piano part to Naeem's song Simulation which has Justin and Swamp Dogg. I have to wonder how long that piano part was floating around in Justin's head. It has a little "Satisfied Mind" in the chords he was playing too.

Well he isn’t wrong though, that’s the thing. Some things are actually quite simple. There is one simple truth in life that is if you acknowledge yourself as human and we’re on this rock together, and none of us chose to be here, and we all respond to that fact differently and our environments affect us differently. Let’s show each other love as opposed to indulging the inclination towards fear. Fear and love are polar opposites, and the two types of people lean one way or the other and it is displayed in behavior.
