He probably missed her birthday cause he was on tour.when your as big as bon jovi with long tours your partner must spend along time by themselves looking after the kids. I was a young teen when this came out. As soon as i saw jon's face with that voice he had my teenage heart. The other singer is richie sambora he did the music jon did the lyrics.

In fact, the song was ''I'll Be There For You'', not ''I'll Die For You'', it's a error for the title of the song. ''I'll Die For You'' was a different song for the album ''Slippery When Wet''. Other that, this song was massive in 1989. This was the third single of thier fourth album ''New Jersey'', the follow up to the massive breakthrought ''Slippery When Wet''. ''New Jersey'' was a massive album and this was the only hard rock album of history to produced five top 10 single in US (two of them, ''I'll Be There For You'' and ''Bad Medecine'' at n.1). ''I'll Be There For You'' was the song who move Madonna ''Like a Prayer'' out of the n.1 place in US (after ''Like a Prayer'' spent three weeks at n.1).

Great track. Love Bon Jovi. Great memories of hearing them belt this one out live in Perth many years ago! The whole town near the football ground holding the concert was playing Bon Jovi tunes in the leadup to it that day. Was a great atmosphere! :)

This is🔥 rock. Bon Jovi was hot as fish grease. These were the glory days for rock. Empress I definitely agree about their throats. Like I've said before, I don't know how their voices survived the vocal strain.

Richie plays lead guitar, so of course he's the better player. But their vocals during the 80s & 90s were about even before Jon's voice started deteriorating in the 2000s due to years of being the lead singer. Tracks like "Santa Fe" from Jon's solo career showcase his powerful vocals as well as his superior songwriting (most of Richie's solo material is co-written by someone else).
