Watched all 4 parts tonight. I'd lost touch with Joe when the world discovered him. This doc brought me back to the early days when we'd go see him in bars..and the night we helped the band load out ...yea...Joe hauling his own gear and remembering his Fender days...and how he'd always come out to meet and greet..no matter how tired he was. We saw him at Westhampton Beach PAC two weeks before his first Royal Albert Hall coming out show..we walked out absolutely spellbound and someone said he's crossed over to whole new level..and he had. He had handlers and though we didnt know about Royal Albert Hall, we knew he was reaching deeper than he'd ever reached before..that the bar had been raised and he was working on his Olympia routine. And yet...he came out of the bus to see us...like he always had before. It was nice...almost like a goodbye handshake as we passed him on the world...we hardcore early fans. Oh..and he accepted my gift CD of an unknown Rory Gallagher Concert CD...and we both agreed....we loved Rory. That was nice. I am happy for Joe, but I feel like Ive lost touch. We are going on the Blues Cruise in February..Maybe the intimacy will rekindle something. Its alright either way....He woke me at 40 yrs old to remember....I LOVE BLUES ROCK GUITAR MUSIC...and back to the concert halls...and yes...I started playing guitar again...after 15 years. Thanks Joe...live long and prosper. See you on the Boat!

This is really great stuff. Hey spoiled kids of industrial plastic noise, this is a real musician, through and through a guitar geek, a passionate string master. He doesn`t dance, he doesn`t care about a cool move, he doesn`t care much about the dead plastic music world and it`s managers and dj`s. He`s got a mission: We, the people, deserve better music then what is usually sold to us with all the tricks of the trade, via brainwashing. He`s a real highly talented hard working musician with both of his feet on the ground. We need more guys and girls like him!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've watched all 4 parts in one sitting maybe 10 times. I'm a guitar player recovering from Covid that put me in the hospital for 5 weeks. This is tremendous motivation for me to watch and go through rehab to get back out there and play music. I love that a normal guy with enormous talent like Joe can reach the people that he has. Roy seems like the perfect manager for Joe and Kevin brings it all together. All 3 such greatly talented people working for the love of the guitar for the love of music that is not plastic and fake. I tip my cap to them and can't wait to see what's next for the Bonamassa Team!

I've never really been a big blues fan except for of course SRV, and Joe is one of those guys that people really put on a pedestal, and hearing a few clips of him playing I always wondered what the big deal was. But after watching this documentary I think I have a new appreciation for him and for what he's trying to do. Gotta love the guy. Retubing his amp on a Friday night is his idea of a good time. What's not to love? Great documentary.

Have you ever watched the video of his interview with Jane Pauly from 60 Minutes in the 80's as a 12 year old? That is what really turned me on to Joe Bonamassa. I though am a Blues fan and love great musical talent in that vein.

Watched all four of the 'Beat the Industry' videos - down to earth and awesome. The first time I saw Joe Bonamassa play was at Art Park in Lewiston, NY a few years back; invited by a friend to see a musician who at that time was unknown to me. When I left that concert I was totally awestruck and only could say "I have just witnessed seeing the greatest guitar player of my lifetime."

Joe Bonamassa brought his band to my blues jam at a club in Dayton, Ohio called the Nite Owl. They were playing in town that week. I couldn't get over it. He played "my" guitar through my100 watt 78 Marshall lead master.No effects! It was so fantastic, I can't describe it well enough.Joe if you come to Dayton again, our jam has moved but if you do a internet search for blues jams in Dayton Ohio, you will find your friend and fan Herb Brown.

I love how he says he's done, when he's looking at that guitar. That's his "personal time" and something he wants to keep that way. Hands down my favorite artist now. It's so rare to see someone so talented, to love the art, and not care or let the rest of the bullcrap stand in the way.

I already commented on the 1st video...but just wanted to say that, his talking about his guitar "geekness" is part of the reason that I relate to him. Because I AM THAT GUY TOO! lol Looking at pictures of guitars? I prob spend hours per week doing exactly that. Guitar shops are my favorite place in the world. "Tone" is my endless pursuit. Joe is 100x the player I am, but I have the feeling that I could talk guitars with him at a respectable level. It makes me glad that someone with his passion for not only the music, but also for the guitar itself has had such success.

Ron just said they wouldn't know what to do with a "hit". I think Drive would get full air time if you submit it. Thanks to Bush and Clear Channel among others, most of us rely on ourselves. The only radio I really listen to is NPR. How sad is that!!!! I'm 60 and remember listening to KAFY every night at 9 for them to play the Beatles I Want To Hold Your Hand. How our musical lives have evolved... That said I am a die hard Joe Bonamassa Fan!!!!! Been a blues and R&B lover since childhood. Thank you for your amazing gifts and willingness to share

What a cool guy, I met him in Green Bay WI and he played my Gibson Les Paul Gold top. From one guitar geek to another, my Gold top will never sound like that again while Joe was playing it. Great memory. Forget the popularity or stardom of the man, I could just sit around and talk tubes, speakers, amps, effects and guitars all day with this guy.

I've watched all 4 of these documentaries twice. gonna see joe in a couple of weeks and I'm incredibly psyched. it's unreal that the venue is not sold out, although there are very few seats left. he sells out 4 nights in London but not in Kingston freekin ny! maybe dancing with the stars in on tv that night or something.... and.... I can't believe this video has only 19,000 views. the dancing poodles are up over a million. but that's the creative capacity of our culture. rock on joe. you truly are a force of nature.

My hat is off to Kevin Shirley for recognizing uncommon and untended talent which only needed someone like Kevin Shirley. When I read that Joe Bonamassa plays "world blues" rather than the rather narrow niche' who rejected Stevie Ray Vaughn at Montreaux one year, and accepted him back as a conquering hero two years later? Joe Bonamassa is in a league of his own, and has been since he was a child. If he fails to 'conform' it is because genius should never bow to mediocrity.

Heard his producer say at the end ,when JB was fixing to sit down with that guitar off the wall..Isn't that the ones that had the amp in the case?? I thought the same thing. One of my best friends when we were like 10 -ish had a Silvertone. My late Grandmother also had one. 2 of the 1st electric guitars I played.. I think the one Jb was looking at was a Tasco?? Maybe?? I would love to hang out with JB. I am a 51 year old guitar geek myself who dreams he had Jb's talent. Your humility is inspiring JB...never change. Hi Joe. This probably won't make it to you but as a die hard fan since 2010 (when I had never heard of you and a musician friend turned me on to you who had recently seen you live in Chicago). Even though you guys (Roy , Kevin and yourself) all have your separate areas of expertise which is obviously working very well, I truly believe that it would benefit J&R greatly and for the genre to promote the partnership aspect more and include Roy in more of the PR content. One of the things that I admire the most about your incredible journey (aside from your talent and the quality of J&R's production) is how you, Roy, and Kevin have so much trust and loyalty with each other (family business) and how long you have been working together. Roy is very endearing and humble in this series and it touches me to the core (and makes me an even bigger fan) and I believe that it would for many others as well. I believe that most people would be very inspired if they understood how hard you guys have worked and how progressive your team's thinking was/is in order for you to get to your current level (2018) in a very limited genre. I love how in your latest video (Redemption) you include MH in the video in the control room. Promote the partnership as everyone loves an underdog, especially a trust worthy and loyal underdog! Also, just on a side note to KS, all future JB albums should be recorded on a Neve console IMHO. Guitars and vocals have never sounded so good.

I caught Joe around two years ago in my own country, Singapore. It wasn't a sellout concert. But I felt privileged after watching this documentary that I was there during this 'experimentation' when it wasn't ripe. Great stuff, Joe and team.
