Always enjoy your content, but this one literally "hit home." I grew up in Chatsworth, and as a child, played in and around all of these rocks. I remember the filming, and the modifications the film crews would make, i.e. adding paper mache to the rocks to create a cave or tunnel. A little north and east was where they filmed "My Friend Flika" and "Fury" (the horse series) Hogan's heroes prison camp was constructed nearby as well. Little House on The Prairie was shot just west in Simi Valley. I used to rent horses from Mr. Spahn and had a run in with the Manson gang! Corriganville was a favorite place to visit. Great work Jeff and Sarah. The editing, overlays, and clips were amazing. Thank you for all of your hard work and research!

So sad to see the intrsion of the condos. I can remember the area before the freeway or any houses. The Santa Susana Pass was the main road. There. were quite a few movie ranches. There really was a community in a sense that used each other's ranches to make film. Jeff your right, a lot of film was shot out there !

Thank you Jeff and Sarah for sharing Iverson Ranch. In 1978 Mr. Kilmer, father of Val Kilmer, owned the upper Iverson Ranch. He planned to develop the area. I lived on the ranch as a ground keeper from 1978 to 1984. Mark Kilmer, Val Kilmer's brother, lived on the ranch. Val Kilmer would come to visit from time to time. As I remember, It was a beautiful area.

That sounds just peachy if you can spend a few million to desecrate such a place that has so much history for the privilege of looking at rocks that they haven't a clue about. What's left needs to be made a state park with signs that explain what we learned in this video and more. Nowadays it wouldn't be too hard for a wiz kid to make a ph app that shares clips like these that puts anyone in that film when they stand on the mark. Chattsworth failed big time on this one, who did the developers have to grease to build condos right there when there are places a mile or two away that are just as nice but not so famous and historical. I'll bet a dollar to a dime that the SOBs used the "live on a famous movie location" as part of the sales pitch. I'm a 62 yr old that is mellow and carefree but this really rubs me raw, many yrs ago I lived in the valley and also in Simi, I was young and rode past this on an M/C W/O a clue fills me with some kind of unfulfilled passion and regret that I didn't comprehend in those days of my youth. The local politicians and the developers that did this for a buck have a special place in hell, where the stagecoach runs them down every day and even the Joads tell them to kick rocks. I hope that they will be stuck in perilous cowboy situations day and night and every time one of our classic movie heroes rides to the rescue they just rear up the horse and shout "see ya at the condo b***h". This is almost as bad as letting billionaire pimps and movie stars build condos all around the HOLLYWOOD sign in the future as another status symbol that can be bought. This simple video opened my eyes to the history of this place, I live in Wisconsin now but if I was there I would agitate those condo snobs "in a legal way" to the best of my ability. These same condo punks would also take over "Train Town" in Griffith Park or "Oliveria Steet" DT for a cheap buck... Sorry for the rant but these condos are so unacceptable where they were built, if I was 40 yrs younger I'd do something like hold up signs and make a scene and get on the 3 networks Of course, I'd never even think of this but what if someone tossed a few Jax-style pointy things on the road accidentally and caused $300 tires to spring a leak... Don't 86 me for being too honest YT...

My dad was best friends with Mr. Iverson's attorney, and when that man needed to go to the ranch for an appointment, he brought along both families. We watched a Death Valley Days filming. I remember seeing a "runaway" wagon careening around a curve on one of the dirt trails, maybe the old stagecoach road. The cameras were set up on the hill. It was very exciting. Just discovered History Hunters and what a enjoyable visit. I am seventy five and when I was a boy I was a super fan of cowboy movies. I would spend Saturday morning watching them on TV and the afternoon at the picture show for more of them. My hero was Roy Rogers and I was the proud owner of a Roy Rogers outfit complete with guns and spurs. In the eighties I visited his museum in Victorville where I spent the afternoon hoping he would drop by as he apparently used to do. Unfortunately he did not, at least on that day. You have made an old cowboy fan very happy bringing back such wonderful memories. Thank you so much.

Jeff, thank you so much for another interesting video. I met Pernell Roberts in 2006 when I was living in Dearborn, Michigan. I was visiting at the Henry Ford Estate because I used to work there and I ran into mr. Roberts at the house looking at the dining room. He was a very very nice man and when I told him about my mother suffering from cancer I did not know that he had had cancer. So he asked for my address and he came to my house to visit my mother. Then he backed out because he was worried that my mother just being home for a day or two might not be able to handle him visiting. Needless to say my mom was disappointed, but he was just that kind of man. I told him that you w e r e like Adam Cartwright and that no one was that good of an actor of that he was playing I believe himself. He was a very nice man and I have very fond memories of him.
