That Regan guy is so evil looking. Was so good to see Hoss teach him a lesson.

*When the sound is messed up like most of the videos this person uploaded usually you have to use headphones, secondary speaker or even bluetooth device to get the sound to work. Not sure why, but that's what I use to watch this.*

Best for an old man, even a rich one, to marry a woman near to his age. They have more in common & hence more suited to each other. A young woman has her life to live which an old man rich or otherwise simply does not have the energy &/or interest to keep up with. So let old men including the rich ones give up their foolish PRIDE as apart from their money they have little to offer a young woman. As with many things in life there are always exceptions.

As the father of the Cartwrights correctly said, there are many kinds of love however all of these loves are generated from the one essence of love itself, God, principle, or essence. All equal love.

In this first season episode, before the character's personalities were developed, we see Hoss being cruel and enjoying the fear of the poor promoter for trespassing, they even got shot at, Adam acting tyrannical.

Why would he need to blink his eyes 2 x when he can speak? He can just say I can see you.🤣 On another note - the ending with the woman's decision to stay with a clearly self-destructive, abusive and possessive man because of love?🙄Typical male writing of the 50s and early 60s.

This could have been a fine, fine series had they listened to Pernell Roberts and ust a few changes made...but the powers that be saw our simple American audiences loved this odd story line and when ratings were good enough for the producers, etc, they never would change this series that had more 8-11-year-olds than serious adults. Three 25-40-year-old men playing 13 year olds, stammering to ask their Pa silly things.
