He's had an incredible career. I'm looking forward to hearing more about his early directing jobs in television, and his work both as a film editor & second-unit director. It's interesting that with the Bond films he followed a similar path as Peter Hunt, who shifted from working as a film editor & second-unit director to directing what remains one of the greatest films in the Bond franchise. He obviously thought so much of John's abilities that he made sure John was part of his team when he began directing.
