ALEX said in court that he took up to 250 pills a day. There is no way in heck that he could take that many pills/narcotics and live!!!!! To be realistic there is NO WAY he could consume that many pills..he would not be breathing..walking or have any type of blood pressure it would be hight one minuet and low the next as well as his kidneys would have shut down long time ago...he also couldn't sit still in that chair that long without being fidgety ...once again...ALL LIES....Just a little info from Nancy Nurse RN PHD ABCDEFG

Actually, being a heavy opioid addict, he would appear completely normal if he had his drugs in him. You notice the physical signs of addiction when the person don't have them. He wasn't shooting fentanyl and nodding out. As far as I know, he just ate Oxy's like candy. Once your tolerance goes up you need the pills just to function.

Addiction to painkillers doesn’t present the way addiction to heroin does. There are no physical signs. Johnny Depp was addicted to painkillers prescribed after a knee injury and continued to function and work, just as an example. Withdrawal from these painkillers is horrific and needs careful rehabilitation. Johnny got clean with help from his Doctor and team.

As a wife of an Attorney of the most high ethics, a graduate of Tulane Law School, I agree that this R.A. Murdaugh should remain disbarred and in Jail for his felonious crimes, he has deeply soiled the lofty practice of Law and an Officer of The Court.

It’s lofty because of the position of power that God allows these people to have. It goes without saying that Murdaugh won’t practice again. Human beings are not good at handling beauty, money or power. I wonder these days if he’s even much of an outlier. Tragic, all around.

If Alex was taking that many pills per day he would be dead. The amounts of Oxc he claims to take would cause him a very serious detox without hospitalizations of some sort. And more than 30 days of rehab. I have two grandsons that were addicts an when they finally crashed we almost lost one. As it was so hard detoxing and their body's couldn't take it. So Alex is lying about the amounts . My Opinion.

Drugs are NOT an excuse for fraud and theft of millions. Addiction begins with a choice! He made that choice. I am not sure he truly had such a bad addiction, he was a functioning attorney. I think he is a gambler and lived beyond his means. I think he SOLD drugs more than used drugs!
@erikafinland2162

I agree that I believe he certainly was more involved in the drug business, that is where his money most probably went is my guess. If a long time addict has large amounts of money and the invincible feeling the opioids can give you, why would he NOT finance larger schemes= make his drug use free for himself? He had contacts who could do the deadling, he finances and gets free drugs and profit. Obviously something has gone very wrong....as it usually does in that world . As a person from Finland their lifestyle honestly does not seem too luxurious to me....when you look at his income and what he stole etc..... A few houses, cabins etc. Cars and "toys, some boat. Trips to the Caribbean. Bad property deals was mentioned but he had to really have been gamling and taking risks. Ofcourse if they flew private planes every week you lose your money. And if you take bad credits. I did not see any luxury thing he would be into like: cars, horses etc.. or have I missed something??

You ever see those crime shows where a nurse is busy killing patient after patient I guess just for fun. It's perfectly believable that Alex is capable of visiting someone in the hospital and making sure they pull the plug out on the respirator so he can advance an insurance claim or worse.

The state prosecutors are lucky the judge understood the magnitude of Alec Murdaugh’s crimes. Quite honestly it seemed to me the prosecution had already decided a bond would be issued freeing Mr Murdaugh. They should have based everything pointing to the terrible crimes committed by Mr M , not the stipulations requested should /when a bond be issued.
