Isn't that similar to a cold pour? How did you get the 2 different consistency especially one cold,and dry,while the new load is hot ?. Job looks great ,but did you guarantee it would hold?and how long is the guarantee for?
@bondobuilt3864 ай бұрын
The first concrete dried while the new concrete was in the truck so it's hard to blend them together and they call that a cold joint. Quite common but it sucks to finish and keep it flat. If it failed at any time Circle T would warrantee it .It won't though.
@MG-jc8yx3 ай бұрын

I would have spread the concrete in the field as much as possible. Empty the truck and pull out with other truck. Come back with a excavator and dump truck once dry. If driver didn't get fired, I bet he will be the safest driver for years to come. I think part of the driver's refresher training should be to tell Bondo's audience who, what where, when, why this happen. Circle T should say to home owner, at least 50% off concrete because of possibly cracking. We all make mistakes, not a perfect world. Good job guy's.

And now if someone starts shouting at me on a job I just leave and that pisses them off more in my 20s I would be hitting someone a Punch in the face. I'm glad I don't lose my Cool like that anymore.

Must be frustrating to come into a job that you would normally have total control over and the "set-up" and all the little pieces are different than your methods and process. I mean what were the wooden blocks even doing? then just dropping rebar in loose rather than wired in place (yes overlapped but still, c'mon) just seems like a PITA upcharge would be in order. The lack of bracing too. Ugh.
@bondobuilt3864 ай бұрын
The guy actually did a good job building this assembly. Just light on bracing in the back. The wood block held the foam until concrete was placed. We sometimes put rebar in as we go it depends what the inspector wants/requires.
